My kind of roasty. This beer is the diamond in the rough of most UK grocery store’s beer shelves. Cheap, tasty, a well made Porter with a little bit more flavor/alcohol ooompff than what is typical for these parts. I will buy more...

 

I broke in a new pair of running shoes earlier with some incline walking on the treadmill. Now moving on to a Stovepipe from my Oskar Blues collection along with a search of Netflix. A perfect way to waste some time on a sunny cold morning.



A little late, but the mayor of Denver signed a proclamation yesterday declaring it Led Zeppelin day commemorating the 50th anniversary of their first US appearance. If I heard correctly it cost a whopping $750. And people complain about craft beer prices going up?

It’s been a couple of years, but I remember enjoying a very good “Full Scottish Breakfast” at Holyrood 9A and several quality cask pints on the way back to town after climbing Arthur’s Seat one morning.

Verdant: Maybe One More PSI

 

An IPA brewed and canned by Northern Monk, Yorkshire UK, as best I gather, for or in cahoots with an Indian Street Food restaurant/microbrewery (?) called Bundobust:





A darn fine NE IPA Light! Barely opaque and skinny as a rail, tangerine and orange aromas burst upon popping the can; slightly weedy hops continue to entice. Juicy orange w/ very little bitterness; lite spicy floral hops on the tongue...and I sneezed for 5 minutes within seconds of starting to drink!! - coincidence? Aside from any possible olfactory spice influence, this is a tasty easy drinking almost cloudy juicy weedy citrus non bitter IPA, that 1. I can comfortably of which drink 16 oz, and 2. I want another! Sorry for the rant...Cheers!

 

You're a stones throw down the road! Hit me up next time you're down here and the first round or three is on me.
