Sierra Nevada Hop Bullet. Doubles as cold medicine and works better.

Two legends from my youth. Nothing means nothing!

I never quite understood the love for Revision . . . about one out of every four I tried were really good (especially Reno as Fuck), but none were excellent.

Nightcap and then bed. Very good new porter from Left Hand. Obviously they would nail a dark beer. Love me some Left Hand.

Polish RIS. This was fantastic! Great head retention/lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, fudge, roasted nuts, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, plum, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, wood, herbal, pepper, pine, and yeast earthiness. Increasing booze in the aromas and it warms, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, peppery hops; and roast/charcoal bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, bready malts; some sticky hops and chalky char/roast in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing hop/char bitter dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Dangerously smooth sipping; mild increasing warmth of 12%, minimal lingering booze. They lagered an ale yeast, which is pretty unique for the style. Amazingly rich black/roast/bready malts, balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast complexities. Spot on style example. 4.2

Let's do a trade soon, bud, get some good hops in your belly. You going to grab that Beachwood release on the 10th?

I already smashed my New Years resolution of drinking nothing but lower ABV beers so game on. :grimacing::smile:

Had my first ever NYE, and I'd say that's a good choice.

One of my top favorite pales ales since BP entered the state. Aromas and flavors of big pineapple, peach, pear, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, melon, passion fruit, berries, lemon zest, orange peel/rind, mint, onion, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Fantastically bright, and fairly dank/earthy Mosaic/Calypso hop complexity; nice malt backbone for the ABV, with no residual sweetness from crisp resin dryness. I love this stuff so much. So drinkable. Wish it didn't move to seasonal status. I used to buy this really often when it had better availability.

I was crushed when I tried this beer. I wanted Market Garden to have a great DIPA offering. It was awful. Tasted like how a new Nike shoe smells.

    That Grunion is great though.

Top tier Oktoberfest as usual. Big flavors of cracker, bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, brown sugar, nutty, and light caramel malts; with light herbal, grassy, peppery earthy hop presence. Light herbal, grassy, peppery balancing hop bitterness on the finish. Great medium-plus bodied creamy/bready Munich mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Super clean lager flavors, no cloying sweetness. Such a pristine offering for the style, one of my favorites every year. Very clean and rich pale/Munich malts, with balancing earthy hops. Still have to rewrite my review for this one eventually. Ayinger remains the top spot.

    8.0% abv.
    No canning date.
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch tan head over a black body with no lacing. Nose of chocolate, mint, and slight roasted malt. Taste mirrors nose in a lackluster sort of way. Yet another BBCo lactose miss as the feel is way short of what an Impy Stout should have.
Overall, not bad, but was expecting better.
    Cheers!
