Awesome as usual, haven’t had this in years. Great head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, lemon, peach, pear, melon, red apple, orange peel, coriander, thyme, mint, peppercorn, clove, and light banana yeast; with moderate caramel, dark candi sugar, molasses, toasted biscuit, brown bread, nutty malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; and herbal, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky hops/spices in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness, no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth, minimal warming 10%. Outstanding balance of Belgian yeast, spices, candi sugars, and dark/bready malt complexity. Very well attenuated, not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. I need to buy Belgian beer more often than I do. Might be time to revisit a lot of them again.

Insane batch this year, higher ABV than last time. Poor head retention/minimal lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, fudge, marshmallow, molasses, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of raisin, prune, fig, licorice, soy sauce, leather, tobacco, pepper, smoke, and yeast earthiness. Mild roast bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spice on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body. Very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Slight slickness, chalky roast, and oak tannins. Slight dryness from roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness. Mild lingering warmth of 18.4%, minimal barrel booze. Perfectly balanced between rich malts and bourbon barrel presence/integration. Not overly boozy, tannic, or drying on barrels. One of the smoothest stouts I've had for the ABV. Reminds me of Black Tuesday a lot. Glad they put it in smaller bottles this time.

Post-lunch beer, this is another stellar hoppy beer from Manchester’s finest Cloudwater. Catching up on some reviews before having a possible Avengers-marathon. Cheers, BA!

Amazing NEIPA as always. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, zesty, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; very creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats, and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very dank and juicy hops, with perfect wheat, oat, malt malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness, amazing soft feel. Super easy drinking. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. This is one of my top most purchased beers ever at the moment. It just doesn't get any better for the style vs availability. Every Old Nation NEIPA is better than most anything else I've had in the state. DDH is just as impressive; but a bit more bitter, resinous, dank, and earthy.

My first Central Waters! I got this from someone on my trip, I think @thebeers? If not, I’m sorry, I was drunk... was it @CanConPhilly? Or @larryi86? I’m sure it was in Philly... :flushed:

This is amazing. Flavors of huge caramel, brown sugar, maple syrup, toffee, bourbon, vanilla, coconut, toasted oak, golden raisin, plum, fig, apricot, cherry, red apple, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of molasses, leather, herbal/grassy/peppery hops, and yeast eartiness. Similar aromas, a bit of booze as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy/silky malts; some sticky hops, oak tannins; and light slickness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness, no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth, mildly increasing warmth of 12.7%, minimal barrel booze. This is just as impressive as I remember. Amazingly rich malt complexity, balanced fruity yeast, and perfect barrel integration; with solid earthy hop balance against sweetness. I think this showcases the maple syrup character better than CBS, easily. Feels more prominent. Base beer is one of my favorite old ales, I hope they bring it back soon.

Too bad it smells and tastes like band-aids. BB 2/8/19 and must have sat hot somewhere for a while. Showed up in my local shop two weeks ago, so I didn’t check the date. Might need another to get the taste out of my mouth. Cheers!

Throwing spinach on my bacon, egg and cheese breakfast wrap makes it way healthier, right? My nearly 17 year old text minutes ago and said he had safely driven 2 hours down the interstate and checked in at his IU soccer camp. Momma is relieved now and I am going to bed. Cheers all & enjoy your Saturday!
