Goodmorning ba... Starting off with some double barrel bible belt and the nose on it is fantastic... Huge cocoa nibs along with coffee and vanilla... The taste follows through but I'm getting no spice at all.. I will have to revisit the base beer as I remember it did pack some heat cheers

Good morning, BAs! This is my last bottle of Victory Java Cask - probably, period, unless I hear that subsequent batches are greatly improved. This is a shadow of the beer that blew me away when it first came out.

    Cheers!

Lift Bridge 'Farm Girl' (a tip o' the beer cap to @MNChristine for a tasty one)

    3.74/5 rDev +3%
    look: 3.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Fine golden colored body with lots of gentle carbonation and a thin, creamy head. Some nice citrus and pungent spiciness to the aroma; cloves. Gentle flavors of light cereal grain, hints of ginger and cloves; banana. Medium body; almost velvety and coats the tongue; mainly a soft sweetness and spiciness on the palate.

A very nicely done saison, melding fine elements of light sweetness and gentle spiciness to a rich yet not too dense body of light grain.

One more from MN. Bent Paddle's 'Harness IPA' (kudos to @MNChristine)

    3.81/5 rDev -6.4%
    look: 4.25 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

Rich, copper-brown body featuring a very dense, thick and rocky head. The smell exudes notes of crystallized malt with a spicy, kind of rye-like note. Hearty malt flavor; dull sweetness counterpointed with a vibrant hop bitterness. Warm and full-bodied beer; crisp with a gentle bite on the palate.

A very malt-forward IPA yet featuring some zesty hop presence.

Another one from Natchez Brewing Co. Kettle Sour Series . . .

Slightly hazy light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Clean, tart scent of wild flowers and green watermelon rind.

Taste upfront is sharply tart but not puckeringly so quickly followed by muted but flavorful fruit. Brewer says passion fruit, orange and guava. All I can say is it's refreshingly tart and mildly sweet in a balanced way. I don't pick out the individual fruit flavors as such because they are so well blended.

    Light texture with balancing carbonation.

A rather light, tastefully mild, Berliner Weisse which lets the flavoring agents shine.

My last day of freedom before heading back to work for a week. At Mellow Mushroom getting a couple slices and a beer or two. Not much luck on the beer, the first three things I ordered the we’re out, settled for a Sweetwater 420 G13.

Just split a Defiance Brewing Fuzzy Knuckles with Wifey. She loves dark beer and anything with coffee, so she was very happy. This one had coffee, but more chocolate, Dark fruits showed up as well as a tone of complex roasted malts. Fuzzy Knuckles was a winner all around.

    Cheers!

Some great beers today Geeks, keep up the good work!

Stand in line for an hour in some of the shittiest weather this year...?
    Sure, why not

    Warming boozy glass of greatness
    Intense barrel and alcohol heat
    Dark roasty chocolate coffee sweetness
A bit too green out the barrel
Needs some age to calm her down.

    CHEERS

Another morning of snow shoveling, and it is starting to get old. Hopefully I'm done for the day. This BA Barleywine from Hailstorm is certainly helping to take the chill out of these "old bones".
