Another new Big Lake IPA. This was excellent. Great head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Aggressive yet smooth, minimal warming 7.5%. Feels like Columbus, Centennial, Simcoe, Amarillo. Very vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness from crisp resin dryness. Love the classic hop profile.

I hear ya.The only thing is I'm used to being able to pop into even a Meijer and having the option between a dozen different tall boys. Not a lot of singles options around here, except Whole Foods.
And Whole Foods don't have Steel Reserve.

 

At this point, Dale’s is more of a possibility and canoeing is a trip down ML.

 

Homebrew time. This is an IPA (New England style) with Warrior & Calypso hops (bittering and flavor/dry hop respectively).

Getting banana, pears, and apples on the nose with a bright grassy bitterness and pears/apples on the flavor. Good hop.

You need to get that checked and now, not later, now. I had several incidents like that where I ended up in the ER getting my nose packed and then all the fun the next day. There was never anything to lead one to believe it was going to happen. I was just sitting in a chair or on the back steps and the nose started flowing blood. Removing the packing is worse than putting it in. Then the cauterizing is a real treat as well. Shortly after that it was the COPD diagnosis. I have no idea how they could be related but it scares me for you. Maybe just a sign of systems failing w age. Get it looked at now !

The closest to hot cocoa (but cold) you'll get. Not something I necessarily like in beer, but this was enjoyable.
