What beer are you drinking now? #2292

Longmire, for the second time. Really good.

 

Hello Ba ... Right now drinking Deep Search Baltic Porter from Land Grant Brewing in Columbus Ohio.

 

JWB is killing it in Miami, buddy. A great brewery for collaborating...Cheers!

Proven Theory. An IPA brewed by Bench Top Brewing. A birthday present courtesy of daughter #1.

 

Longmire is good

 

Poured into a 16 oz Hopslam Snulip glass canned on 1/23/19. Pours a hazy yellow with a solid finger sticky white head, that clings to the glass leaving big webs of lace as it slowly settles into a thin ring of foam around the edges of the glass. 4.5

Smell is lemon zest, pine resin, papaya, and some pink grapefruit rind. 4.5

Taste follows lemon, pine, papaya, and a pretty healthy shot of grapefruit but not crazy bitter, really nice. 4.5

Mouthfeel is a big medium, fairly soft an gentle on the palate, a tad sticky but really not dry, and at 7.2% goes down insanely easy, but drinks more like 8%. 4.75

Overall obviously I love the original but this stuff is top notch and so darn hard to sip because it is crazy tasty! Cheers all 4.5

I’ve finished stripping the roast chickens and adding the skin, carcasses/bones to the beef bones simmering in the crock pot - we’ll split the results between broth for the dogs, and stock for us; meat and veggies set aside for tomorrow’s soup... Mrs. Z is nestling pears in the Dutch oven; I’m thinking a stout might be in my Tuesday future...

 

Well, I had to give the sours a rest so I reached for this bottled on December 29th Hazy. Good grief it's intense, especially the smell. Not my favourite from Boise Brewing but I will finish the bottle.
