    It's six degrees in the Philly burbs today. So....I'm going with a juicy DIPA that feels like it was made for a hot, thirsty summer afternoon. Lagunitas Super Cluster Ale. It's full of grapefruit, orange peel, pine & floral notes. There is a malt backbone that provides nice balance. This one is a winner, but so are so many of Lagunitas' offerings.

    ...and jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick! No wonder every time I looked up an old mix tape from my friend Russell (out of Hood River) for a Fred Frith tune that I thought was titled 'My Enemy Is A Bad Man' (and yet it was not the tune I searched for), that, lo and behold! -- suddenly through the miracle science of old school vinyl (in this case from WOM in West Berlin -- off the Ku' Damm -- I picked up for only DM29,95 from back in the day -- does it finally reveal itself!!

    Slap me silly and call me a dumb ass...

    A friend of mine just gave me one of these cans last weekend and being from the beginning of November I was pretty skeptical of how it would taste...it’s fucking fantastic. Still has a real dank citric taste and almost no burn which I guess could be attributed to its age.

    I earned this one. I just did a 12-plus hour shift in mostly single digit temperatures, my last 4 all outside. I’m taking a nap and a shower after this and I’m guessing maybe I’m back for one later. Cheers, stay the fuck warm BA.

    Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul has to be one of the finest acts I've seen in my time...once at the Cleveland Agora in 1983 and once again at the Metropol in West Berlin a few years later...

    Went outside to start my wifes car at 5:15 this am, car said temp was -27, 7 hrs later it's a balmy -10, more snow coming tonight, 1-3". Having this Crystal Lake BA Imperial stout from 2017 to warm these old bones.

    Cheers my brotha. I just passed 5 years on the site, mostly this thread and the Mid-Atlantic forum, and it’s hard to believe how fast the time flies. Crazy.

    I'm splitting a can of Sweet Water Exodus Jamaican Coffee Porter with Wifey. She loves dark beer and specifically loves coffee beers. I actually picked this one up with her in mind. She rates it, "two snaps up with a twist". It's got a very rich black coffee smell & taste. It hits its mark very nicely, but is a bit one note. There's not very much going on besides the coffee.
