    Deep golden colored body; nice rising carbonation; head is dense, thick and sculpted, very long lasting. Nice light grain malt scent with some spicy, pine-like hop notes. Light sugary malt flavor with excellent hop bitterness; pine sap. Medium body; crisp and sharp on the palate; overall dryness from start to finish.

    A very fine and solid double IPA, fairly malty with some medium toasted qualities and sporting a crisp and bracing hop bitterness and flavor. Top notch!

    Another beer from my friend and neighbor Tactical Bob...his son has him signed up for some sort of beer-of-the-month (or quarter) deal...

    ...and a few tunes from one of my favorite Lou Reed albums (although Mrs. Goot absolutely cannot stand the "crying baby song" -- The Kids), but although not a depressed or necessarily dark and dour person, I still find this album to be very engaging and realistic...yes, I've seen and known things in my 6+ decades...lived in West Berlin for two years, saw and wrestled with friends and co-workers in dysfunctional relationships...

    Appearance is clear light gold with good cap and lacing.

    Aroma is equally malt and hops which is a harbinger of things to come. Malt is rich and the spicy, conifer hops are in sharp focus.

    Taste is hop forward on entry announcing they're there without overshadowing the malt which appears mid palate to balance the hops then both march abreast to the finish which is clean with a lingering hop bitter/sharp note which quickly fades. A subtle dry finish that invites another taste.
