    When I have this one I wonder why I don't have it more often . . .

    Appearance of bright amber gold with light tan cap and moderate lacing.

    Aroma has nice touches of toffee and caramel malt with little hop presence.

    Good rich flavor here, nicely rounded with a hint of sweetness and hops playing a very diminished role. Darker malt flavor is evident without any roasted malt bitterness.

    Good morning BA
    My crew had a momentary lapse of reason toward the end of the night that resulted in my shift lasting 14 hours. Having a double German nightcap since the 6.5% Maibock wasn't going to cut it this morning...

    Home today and tomorrow, so - naturally - gonna fuck around...


    Started off by checking out 12 year Widow Jane bourbon...

    Big fan of their standard 10 year old version; but here, on my initial tasting, for the extra $10 this version tacks on, I'm gonna say its not really an improvement - maybe a little "stronger"-tasting, with less lime and more wood - almost loses some of the characteristics that set it apart from other bourbons BUT it is a drier, less sweet drink than many out there, and I do appreciate that - and hey, it's my first sampling, so I'm gonna take it with a grain of salt (not literally lol) and see how I feel about it later on...

    Anyway, the beer of the now is this can of Nugget Nectar...

    I don't get this every year, but it's a solid beer and I always dig it...
