What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #2302

Captain’s Daughter, but this batch (Jan 15) is not doing it for me. Boozy and feeling like RotoRooter on my empty stomach. I feel Beer #2 going to be chosen quickly.

 

@Ocalafox, this beer sure is delicious! I just wish I could pair it with degrees fahrenheit, but we are all out of them!

Hoof Hearted DIPA with a single hop I’ve never heard, can’t remember what it’s called, and, to be honest, not a huge fan of. Maybe my palette is a little fucked after such a great DIPA, but I’ve had other versions of this beer I enjoyed a lot.

Very good Vienna lager. Fantastic rocky head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors cracker, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, brown sugar, and light caramel/nutty malts; with light herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery hops. Some fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Creamy/bready/grainy malts, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. A bit thin, but not too watery. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Nicely flavorful/refreshing for 4.7%. Very clean lager flavors, minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Very clean and nicely rich Pils/Vienna/Munich malt flavors; with mild earthy hop presence/balance against sweetness. Very well made for the style. A lot better than their regular lager as expected. 3.86
