St feuillien just for lunch... and the proper glassware that I rarely use anymore:
When my wife leaves for work @5:30am - and I have the day off....
Good morning BA
I just worked off midnights and decided to have a beverage before a nap...
Reviews are all over the place on this one. I'm a fan. Thanks for sending this my way @woodychandler! Cheers all
Happy Wednesday ba. Getting into it with Heavy Boots of Lead, imperial stout, from Singlecut. Big, bold, and robust with fudgy chocolate malts. Really excellent stuff,
Need a strong dose of coffee this morning: Founder's Breakfast Stout
It seems like we have a leak along an attic vent over our kitchen, as I discovered at 5:30 this morning when I went to make coffee. So been up on the roof (in the rain) and crawling through our attic crawl space over joists and cellulose insulation (with my relatively new knee) to isolate and temporarily fix the issue. Not what a homeowner wants to deal with nor an 62-year old fat fuck beer drinker wants to expose his broken, decrepit body, too. But you gotta do what you gotta do.
I can't wait for our predicted snow and high winds (gusts up to 80 mph later today) bring.
At least my beer and bourbon supply is well-stocked up.
Junkyard Brewing Biocumulus
Onto some hop juice here ba. Ddh Mosaic Bomb, neipa, from Sloop brewing. Nice semi-concentrated mosaic with lots of citrus and stone fruit notes. Not exactly on par with the big boys but I like it,
Snow is just starting as we wait on the blizzard to kick in.
This is from last night at Pizza Carrello in Gillette.
Frothy Buffalo Milk Stout
Black Tooth Brewing
Cheers.... and for those in the path of the storm stay safe and be smart.
Is the week over yet?
Happy hump day ba.. Some excellent juice from interboro cheers
Light golden color with white cap.
Aroma of ripe banana, bit of clove and some light citrus touches.
Taste is rather ripe banana forward followed by the clove (not too spicy) and citrus in the form of citrus blossoms rather than fruit or zest. At the very first I thought a touch of tartness but that was quickly overcome by the banana. Simple, clean flavors that finish almost dry, which is a plus in this beer because there is balance whereas sweetness might have thrown the whole thing into a more one dimensional taste.
Too cold (42 degrees) and too windy (30+mph) for golf today. Call me a wimp.
Stone - Espresso Totalitarian (can).. cheers!
Morning standard. Hotbox. Coffee after my coffee. Snow finally coming down again... could do without the hurricane-strength winds this afternoon but hey... gonna do a dark beer vertical since I'm not working today. CHEERS!
Home-ownership and "issues" -- making me feel Surly (Todd the Axe Man in this case)...
Some more amazing sauce from exhibit a cheers
This one is still tasting great...
A nice pairing with lunch.
2nd. Dark. Beer. DbC.

Trail Side IPA 7% ABV more west coast, but not in look. Cheers all.
A Shuttle Bus Rye IPA 7% and a smash burger no bun sadly because I am on a diet food wise. Both excellent.
A coffee before leaving for work. Recommendation: drink this beer at room temp.
Hitting up Greenport Harbor, once again, for lunch here ba.
Kettle Cookies, a brown ale w/ almonds, maple syrup, and milk sugar at just 5.3%. Nice and sweet,
Brother lives on Milan pond. You close?
No haze no problem cheers
The Demon Boy from Anchorage Brewing, cheers!
For lunch ba. Black Duck porter as has become the norm,
W/ sloppy joe and wings,
Slightly hazy yellow orange color with very good white cap and lacing.
Aroma of tropical fruits, pineapple and something a bit herbal.
Taste is hop forward with a bent towards the fruit. Again pineapple along with some grapefruit all resting atop a malty base. Malt plays second fiddle here yet maintains a baseline all the way through. Hops build slightly from mid palate to the finish ending on a slightly firm note. I don't really taste herbal but there is something that keeps the hop fruit in check.
That's my favorite beer that they brew.
8.6 Original Intense Blond Beer.
'Imported from Holland' ... Does that still sell?
Is that Washington NH. About an hour away.
mt Washington, Berlin, Gorham area

Light straw colored body; slowly rising carbonation; thick, frothy head, long lasting and sticky. Herbal and grassy hop aroma notes; a hint of cracker. Refreshing taste; clean and mildly lemon-like; light grain base; subtle and balanced hop bitterness. Light body; crisp; semi-dry finish.
A well-made kölsch, balanced and nuanced; a perfect light ale for any occasion.
Wind is intense and snow has started and is causing near white-out conditions. A good time to hole up in the 'Fortress of Solitude' and beer and booze it, listen to tunes, and process .308 Winchester brass on the work bench...
