A new to me Imperial Coffee Stout - “Into The Dark Roast” from Infinite Ale Works, Ocala FL:

Craig B. was co-founder and head brewer at SwampHead, and his recipes originally put that brewery on the Florida beer scene...now he has his own brewery and if this delicious Stout is an indication of what he is brewing now, I’m all in...Thanks @Ocalafox for today’s tasty breakfast beer - Cheers y’all!

Another day, another train beer. Had a final exam today in nature science if that's a thing in English. Basically it's a mix of science, chemistry, math and such. Heavy stuff like molecules, pH, photosynthesis and how it relates to meat and cooking. Came out with a 12 which translates to an A. Or A+? Whatever the highest grade is. So in short I'm celebrating  Cheers!

Into some of my brewery haul from yesterday ba. Naturally Juiced, pale ale featuring hallertau blanc, mosaic, and simcoe hops, from Greenport Harbor. Pretty nice stuff, with lots of citrus fruit and just shy of 6% abv,

Clear light golden color with good white cap and lacing.

Sweetish aroma of mild grain with a touch of floral, spicy hops.

Taste on entry is sort of middle sweet malt and grain yet it resolves quickly into dryness. That's right, it smells and briefly tastes sweet but that's fleeting and turns into a solid middle of the road lager breadiness that finishes dry. Hops are present all the way in a diminished role that retains their floral/spicy character. There is a Pilsner like hop brightness and firmness that lasts into the aftertaste. Very seamless combinations of flavors here.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

I don't get the low average score here on BA. This beer is cleanly and competently made with no off flavors and is at least the equal of any mass produced Euro Lager I can think of offhand. The brown bottle is also a plus.

This is pairing very well with home cured salmon (gravlax) on pumpernickel with tomato, vidalia onion, and mustard.

La Cumbre Project Dank - Spring Edition

    3.82/5 rDev 0%
    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 3.75

Clear, golden body; thick, stick head; rings of foam cling to the glass. Pine resin and pineapple aroma.; Fine light malt base flavor with a prominent hop bitterness; pine resin. Medium body; sticky with a nice prickliness on the palate; mainly dry mouthfeel throughout.

A solid IPA from La Cumbre. There is no information on the can or their web site about ABV or hops used, but it's fair to assume the ABV is around 7.5% like previous versions of Project Dank. The can indicates it was canned on 03/13/19 and is best before 6/11/19 (i.e., CO03/13/19 BB06/11/19 06:56).

I thought this latest spring edition was better than the winter one (which was too rye-like for me) but hey... it was also great on tap at Brewer's.
    cheers.
