I saw him in concert last night. He used the tremolo technique for a few piece, most noticeably for Barrios pieces. It was an incredible concert, two and a half hours long with a ten minute encore! Dave Russell is one of the most incredible guitar players alive! I was very lucky to get to see him in concert!

Mornin' - one of my OB usuals, still enjoying these DbCs. Been buying more OB this past 5-6 months than usual. A good deal, carefully brewed (especially for their size), and easily available and almost never stale here. Nice. Cheers.

I never heard of him although he may have been featured on Classical Guitar Alive! (which I try to listen to on the radio -- or internet -- every week. I'll certainly look for other works performed by him.

I didn’t mean it that way, just that the Bruins were not playing in the Caps vs Lightning game.

Yes, he is my worst nightmare, although I would not mind having him on my team!

I have a soft spot for the Bruins, as a kid I could not root for my team (there were only six teams), so I started rooting for the Bruins (long story). Everyone hated me before, but the hated me even more afterwards! (especially when I wore my bike newspaper route purchased Bruins jersey! I really don’t know how I managed to get that jersey were I was from back in those prehistoric times!) :grinning:

Yes. All I have is an iPhone, and I’ve seen several posts today where other’s photos are too big/not fitting the phone screen...I wonder if this change is a consequence of the impending new App rollout and features therewith?

    the obvious....

and Neil Finn's amazing cover with his sons -

My amazing wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening in Woodstock - dinner at the Garden Cafe - they had KBS on the list ! - but I opted for a fresh carrot ginger cucumber juice -
The Colony music venue had a very impressive beer list, and I should have snapped a pic - but I had Nugget Nectar on tap and a good supply of Heady Topper - James Maddock and his band always deliver the goods !

    Rich and rewarding . . .

Pale gold color with good white cap and lacing.

Slightly tart slightly sour scent with something like ripe yellow fruit in the background.

Taste is less sharp and sour than the scent. It's rounded, fuller and has a fruit like quality like very ripe Anjou pears, which is to say rich without being heavy. I also notice a citrus like quality that just hints of lemon but provides a brightness to offset the fruit. It has almost desert wine like qualities who's flavors are handed out with a light touch but the whole approaches lusciousness. Almost heady with an unnoticeable 9.0 % ABV.

    Rare Odub
    a) pours a hazed honey body with bright white head that last and laces.
    s) As usual, on a caramel base with cracker malt, float lemon, grapfruit with some pine and floral hops.
    t) Tart grapefruit and lemon upfront. Bitey / bitter astringent IBU of 80. SWEETER, calmer as it warms.
    f) Always nice mid-level mouth feel.
    o) Try 24.

    077CT - Jarrylo | Carton | Atlantic Highlands, NJ

    look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25
Thrilled to be the 1st review of one of the best of ODub: Jarrylo (pronounced Jar-ril-low) is named after Jarilo, the Slavic god of fertility and springtime. The site writes: "banana, pear, spice aroma translates perfectly to Pale Ales, Saisons and Belgians."=
More florals in DIPAs, this ode to Connecticut Yankees from Jersey Shore, hits the mark.
The hero here is Jarrylo hybrid hops.
The trend is toward florals and softer fruit notes in DIPAs we see from Ballast Point, Dogshead, Carton, etc.
As brewer notes: "tiny, leafy punches of orange, pear and tart berry notes"
These temper and dont overwhelm the solid dank, resiny core of 077xx.
Another god nectar. Fresh on tap at the tasting room in 07716 on 2-3-18.
a_ Mostly clear but for wisp of chill haze, o-dub gold, with fervent head that laces well. 4.2
BACK at BREWER this beer does not disappoint!

Sin Tax Imperial Peanut Butter Stout | Mother Earth| Ca
    4.23/5 rDev +7.1%
    look: 4 | smell: 4.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.25
Amazing bouquet on this PB stout, more grass, flowershop, barn than Peanut butter. Still tasting carefully to follow the aroma trail.
    A) All one expects of a stout, beige head, lace, last, stickage.
    S) Still trying to figure out - gotta love an aroma that stumps us after so many beer tastes. Bravo.
    T) Chocolate, Peanut butter oil, crunchy, toasted, crushed nuts. Weird vanilla, flower and spice cabinet additions. While the flowers are lain on deeply charred driftwood, seaweed and hops.
    f) Chalky, never cloying despite the power.
    o) A bursting flavor that needs to be tasted blind vs other strong stouts and PB stouts.

    DDH Hi-Res | Sixpoint | Brooklyn
    4.2/5 rDev +7.7%
    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25
Never disappointed by sixpoint. Better than its cousin Hi-res. Powerful. Alcoholic.
Liquor-like and one of most original Imperial IPAs I have I enjoyed.
A: Like all six point a looker. Dense head, lacing, retention, clear amber body. Nearly perfect.
    S. sharp, w bit of tropical sunshine, behind the hop orange rind, marmalade front, Juicy like the taste.
    T. Hip caramel candy. Hop candy. Heads up the sunny Cliff where hops twine the fence around the citrus grove and pines bow in the salty, briny breeze. Oily, dense, flavor packed.
    F. Sweet clean liquor. How could a nectar be so bitter and sweet at once? Paradox. Love the brewer. This may be their best. A new fave. A new best 3IPA?
The 11% sneaks up on you. Paradoxically good, but only if you go slow.
