From @The-Adjunct-Hippie. Wow, this was amazing. Dense pitch black, amazing head retention/thick lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery hops; and roast/charred bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, bready malts; some sticky hops, chalky char/roast, and light slickness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Dangerously smooth/soft sipping, minimal warming 10.5%. Amazing huge/rich stout malt complexity; with balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Not overly bitter/charred. Aged wonderfully, reminds me of a less bitter Old Raspy. Top Tier example of the style. Damn. 4.38

First time with Abita Lounging Iguanas, interesting, the toasted coconut is really forward in the taste. Reminds me of Dabble for some reason. Drinking Ice cold so it's nice as we sit in the 84 degree, low humidity heat.

 

I have a ticket to see Judas Priest in Rosemont Saturday. Am I a bad person for thinking of selling it and just staying home and drinking this while listening to this? Who the fuck wants to go to the north side? I'm seriously thinking of parking at Midway and taking the orange line to the blue line. Is it free parking? LoL

Wife stole half of the last beer so on to another great beer. Arvon Brewing Jurassic Haze a NEIPA with a nice bitterness and great floral hops. I love a balanced NEIPA. Thanks @FlintB .

I like it. Citrus hop nose/taste and lite clean and easy drinking. I’d buy this lager again. Cheers y’all!
