    Ugh, what a pain in the ass it was to get that stupid, lousy beer. First the asshole of a security guard wanted to kick me out of the supermarket because I took my bike in there with me and then after I successfully managed to buy it anyway, I actually dropped the can halfway to the river and it burst open. So I had to find another place to get one and the only option was a tiny kiosk where I paid almost three times as much for the can and they only had Warsteiner instead of Bitburger, not that it makes much of a difference :grimacing:. Was still a rather nice ride home though :slight_smile:.

    Deep copper hued body; immensely dense and thick head; sticky rings of foam climb down the glass. Big grain and pine aroma mixture; caramel. The taste encompasses malt sweetness and earthy, bitter hops. Heavy body; crisp and prickly on the palate; bold residual sugar presence; mainly dry mouthfeel throughout.

    A fine double IPA, balanced and heavy with malt presence. The hop element provides a nice counterpoint to the grain sweetness. Nicely done...

    Happy Thursday advocates.. Took the day off to visit the doctor and he gave me a clean bill of health.. Perks of being 27 and having a fast metabolism, I get to eat and drink like an animal lol.. If i was told I only could drink this beer for the rest of my days I wouldnt be mad cheers

    I can relate to that :slight_smile: But never was kicked out a store or supermarket. Normally I bring my racing bike into shops and supermarkets. And into hotel rooms too.
    Hotels can be somewhat tricky ofcourse. But I always pretend that it is completely normal to take your bike to your room. Worked so far.

    Toppling Goliath Scorpius Morchella DIPA. They just say it's Pacific Northwest and Southern Hemisphere hops. I feel like it's Galaxy and Citra...but could be another one in there like Mosaic or Vic Secret. Awesome fruity and yeast flavors. Full of bright and juicy OJ with pulp, tangerine, lemon, passion fruit, peach, mango, and pine. Slight hop burn as it warms, but nothing horrible. This is right up there with Supa Sumo and King Sue imho. Awesome stuff.

    I guess people are just a little bit more used to and tolerant about bikes in the Netherlands :wink:. But seriously this shit pisses me off so much. It's actually fine at 9 out of 10 places but every now and again you get some idiot douchebag who just has to make a huge fuss about nothing.

    The funny, or should I say infuriating, thing though, is that they can never give me a straight answer when I ask them why I can't take my bike in. I mean sure, they let people in there with baby carriages and rollators, but bikes are somehow unacceptable.

    I always get some bullshit answer like "it's just not proper" or "you simply cannot do this". It's just sooo fucking German... :grimacing:

    An extremely "süffig" Rotbier that drinks very easily, but still has a certain depth of flavor to it. with a great balance of toasted, grainy, caramel malt and grassy, herbal hops.
