Eviltwin Imperial Wedding Cake Break, 11.5% ABV. Pours thick and black, with a one finger brown head. Nose is vanilla cake and almonds. Taste is vanilla cake batter and coffee, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent to outstanding. Doesn't wedding cake taste like vanilla hangover?

This is drinking great right now. Other Half beers are really a complete hop experience even beyond their new-school fruitiness. There's nice dank green offsetting this one. Dare I say LARRRGE like a certain someone often does?

Got to love Tokyo - there’s a hole in the wall or tiny place for nearly any interest out there.

 

New Cherry wheat. They finally can date. Excellent. Nice fluffy head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy red cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, melon, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and peppery hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Creamy/bready/grainy malts; light sticky hops, and fruit tang in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/tart dryness; no cloying/astringency. Super smooth, flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 5%. Great balance between TC cherries, American wheat yeast, and pale/wheat malts; with solid earthy hop presence/balance. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. No complaints, great summer beer. Their quality has really improved last few years. 4
