    Back from visiting my parents and looking forward to enjoying a few beers. Starting out with a Highland Brewery Octoberfest that I found in the grocery store today. I love this time of year with all of the Octoberfest releases. Just call me the Marzen Man. Cheers!

    Even though their Oude Geuze was excellent, this is another 7€ drainpour from Hanssens after Oudbeitje, suffering from the same flat, overly vinegary and oxidized flavor profile. I will open their Cassis now and hope it's not the same crap all over again.

    Ballast Point Coconut Victory At Sea
    I think this is an old bottle which is not the best representative. There is a little vegetal astringency and the coffee is lacking. Enjoyable for all that.

    Bright pineapple yellow body, cloudy; thin and fizzy head. Tart lemon aroma; freshly cut grass; a bit of barnyard funk. Like the smell, an earthy, spicy and lemony flavor; lime. Tart and juicy mouthfeel; comes across a bit watery; tangy dryness.

    A nice and quaffable beer. It makes for a fine hot summer day thirst quencher but doesn't stand out in any particular manner.
