What beer are you drinking now? #2481

Having something like Fruity Pebbles for breakfast. Goose Island SPF. It's a passion fruit kolsch. Sounds odd, but it's quite good. There's a lot of passion fruit (obviously) and a lot of citrus aromas as well. Lemon, grapefruit & orange. The passion fruit dominates both the smell and taste. The citrus is a lot stronger on the nose than the palate. This is a proper summer beer. Ideal for sipping on a hot day.

Happy Tuesday ba. Gots the day off so I'm gonna drink it up. Starting with One Hop Double Time: Citra, single hop dipa, from Night Shift. This is pretty good. Nicely dank with good tropical fruit notes. Only got a single can but I will try and buy a full pack next.

 

Rinse, repeat, re-drink.
Another WW/PinthousePizza Juicy Fish DIPA. Good thing I have another 4 pack.
I am crazy for this beer.

Oh, and since I like stories, here's one for you anti-fans of the term "crispibois" -

Was at a local brewery yesterday, having a new sour release, when 4 20-somethings approached the bar asking if they had "any crispibois" on tap. I happened to be eating Doritos from a small bag.
I pivoted and raised a chip to them: "this is the only crispy thing in the house, bois."
OLD MAN MOMENT accomplished.

We all had a good laugh.
and ... *scene!*

 

Right along here ba. A local RIS, Boris The Spider, from Spider Bite brewing. Pretty good and a good way to cut my palate before another ipa.

 

A cloudy day with some humidity. I'm drinking my coffee and thinking about what movie to see. It's $5 Tuesday. Any movie, all day, for $5. Now that's a cheap date!

Made a very short stop at Watou. Taproom was closed, no problem since I could not have a beer at that time. Just had a look around in the shop. It's located in the middle of no-where (not in walking distance from the village), but the taproom on top of the building must be nice.

Day off. What better way to start?

 

First time with this ba. Hair Raiser, dipa, from Exhibit 'A' brewing. Easily one of the dumbest brewery names I've seen. Despite that, this beer is crazy good hop juice. I'm feeling pretty dumb for not grabbing more than one can.
