Have a nice Saturday BA. Finally feeling normal today. Yesterday was a complete nervous breakdown.

Insane NEDIPA as always. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats in the mouthfeel. Slight hop stickiness, with a touch of increasing lingering bitter dryness. Zero hop astringency. Dangerously drinkable for 9.3%, minimal warming ABV. One of the absolute best in the style I've had, smoothness is unmatched. Pure citrus/tropical fruit juice hop flavors, with a touch of dankness. Never overly sweet/heavy feeling on malts for the ABV; perfectly balanced. Super soft mouthfeel. Old Nation definitely has the best MI NEIPAs. These hold up extremely well over a few months. I prefer them with a bit of time actually, because they get even smoother/silkier. This was a 2.5 month old batch.

    Cheers

The bass playing in this album so far is sick as hell. I wish I did not have to wait another month for the whole thing.

I’ve listened to the first track way too many times, in both languages, and I love it. I will try to not listen to it or the new one until I get my hands on the full album.

Good day BAs. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Nice. Now I need to find a case of these.

Later my son and I will be heading to a pig roast/gun raffle where the only beer will be BMC lite selections. Ah well, at least the swine will be fine.

Yesterday's New Breakfast Beer, for more of which I will not be searching:

I am getting psyched-up to mow the lawn. This beer and some tuna waffles should help. I am a huge fan of Johan De Farfalla's bass work with Opeth, but Martín Méndez is certainly a highlight of their current musical direction. I stopped buying their albums after Heritage. I actually played CD golf with that disk, by putting it on a golf tee, then hitting it with my driver. I couldn't think of any other use for it, at the time.

    Good morning BA
I thought I was going to have to buy another 1L mug & can set to review this one, but it showed up in 6 packs here for the first time...

Very nice, lighter festbeer. I still prefer the darker, heavier bodied Märzens. Cheers all!

Thanks @AZBeerDude72. Four Peaks Kilt Lifter. 6+ year revisit review. This was very nice. Fluffy head retention/spotty foamy lacing. Flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, roast, raisin, plum, pear, red apple, wood, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. A bit more fruity/yeasty. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, roasted bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy/bready/grainy malts; light sticky hops and chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying. Very smooth/soft, zero warming 6%. My score went up significantly. Nicely clean/rich English malt complexity; solid earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Very traditional tasting. 3.88

What can I say? After a 13 hour nightshift, that 11.2oz beer had no chance. Drinking a proper pint now with some dirty rice before a nap...

Singlecut Kim Hibiscus. This was excellent. Nice fluffy head retention/spotty foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy hibiscus, cranberry, strawberry, black currant, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit/hibiscus tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness; zero pucker/astringent. Very flavorful/refreshing, mellowly lactic, zero warming 4.2%. Awesome balanced juicy/jammy currants/hibiscus, and Lacto complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Mild residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. Spot on Berliner all around. No complaints.

The first half of the can poured slightly hazy (I could see my fingers on the opposite side of the glass) but when things settled and I poured the second half the tone shifted to a turbid light gold color. Large white cap and lacing.

Aroma is a melange of citrus/fruit, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple and something like peach.

Taste presents a firm hop bitterness at first but that quickly resolves into a complex whole that manages to be both brightly hoppy and balanced at the same time. By mid palate I'm getting more fruit than citrus and the beer finishes on a high dry note.
