Awesome stuff. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy, silky, bready wheat/oats; light sticky hops, and slight resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringency. Super smooth/soft, no warmth of 7.2%. Awesome Cashmere, Citra, Mosaic, Centennial and Chinook profile. Super juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Spot on stuff for an NEIPA, still prefer the base beer a lot more.

Art of Neurosis by 2nd Shift outta St Louis

 

1/2016 batch is tasting awesome! Flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, toffee, peat smoke, brown bread, nuttiness, toasted oak, vanilla, maple syrup, raisin, plum, fig, date, juniper berry, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, peppercorn, clove, and yeast earthiness. Slight molasses. Light-moderate herbal bitterness and peppery yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy, silky, bready malt mouthfeel; lightly slick, sticky, and tannic. Lightly increasing lingering bitter, spicy yeast, tannic oak dryness; never cloying. Dangerously smooth sipping, minimal warmth of 11%. It is aging amazingly for sure. Great blend of Belgian/English yeast complexity, with balanced rich malts and oak presence. I hope they release this again next year. It's been way too long. Found another few packs this week on the shelf at one of my favorite stores. Will buy the rest eventually.

Just finished my shift and went straight to the pub for a couple of beers.

Adnams Blackshore Stout on cask at 4.2% ABV. It's been rainy and gloomy all day in Copenhagen so a prober stout after a long day seemed suitable. Cheers to the weekend!

Little more cinnamon and heat than my original review indicated. Also found another beer I’ve not seen near us (even though it, too, might’ve been brewed in the Carolinas). We’ll have it for NBS tomorrow.

Tiny Rebel Cask IPA, 4.3% ABV.
A beautiful IPA with sweetness and tropical notes and just a slight hopburn at the back end. Really digging this. Tiny Rebel do some fantastic, mostly weird, beers and this, although more straight forward than what they normally do, is no exception.

This is my favorite Golden Ale. Malt forward, smooth, refreshing and 4.6% alc. $7.99 when i go see my GF in WA. I was looking for a Golden Ale like this for years and I finally found it.
