    Happy Labor Day, BAs! We drove up from the Shore early today to beat the traffic. It's been hot and humid for the past few days. We arrived home to showers and temps in the low 70's - a touch of autumn in the air. This is my first go at Narragansett's Oktoberfest. I like it better than this year's SN - Bitburger collab. Go figure! I can see drinking more of this during the next few weeks. Cheers!

    Mandatory evacuations go into effect here at ... well, right now, actually. It looks like we're just expecting significant flooding right now, though, so .... I'm not planning on going anywhere. That may change if the storm path changes.

    Right now, though, I'm going to need some motivation fuel to get my yard cleaned up today and the house as prepped as it can be.

    A lazy Labor Day. Broke out the camping glass for some more Central Waters Oktoberfest...I realize it doesn't get the best reviews, but I can't get enough of it! So delicious. Add in some Telemann and his classical music...and it makes for a relaxing day.

    I know the feeling. We are renting a cottage in OBX, NC. Daughter #1, son in law, granddaughter, and Zeke their crazy yellow lab stayed for four days and left for home this morning. Eerily quiet now. No commotion. No kid toys to trip over. No soak and wet dog running through the house. Sigh! I wish they were still here.
