    Have a nice Thursday BA. Checked out early last night, and was wide awake at 330AM. Took the opportunity to do 2 loads of laundry since they fixed the broken machines earlier in the week. I was already 2 weeks behind as it was. Still have plenty more to take care of over the weekend when I usually do it.

    Fantastic DIPA as always, got another pack yesterday. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate toasted biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Pretty aggressive, but easy drinking. Minimal warming 9.4%. Awesomely dank and vibrant Simcoe/Amarillo hop complexity; nice malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Not as amazing as I remember when I first had it many years ago, but still really outstanding classic hopped DIPA.

    Hey @superspak ! Interesting to see you around these parts on a weekday. I wish I had a better beer to cheers you with, but for the most part the good company is all that matters:

    Bell's Double Two Hearted. This was fantastic. Aromas and flavors of huge ruby red grapefruit, mandarin orange juice, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, and pine hops; with balanced honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild booze in the aromas as it warms. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts and some sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy alcohol dryness, no cloying/astringent. Very smooth/soft, mild increasing warmth of 11% after the finish. Amazing Centennial showcase as expected. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized balancing malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. More candied-like citrus and a bigger malt backbone; but just as balanced from the 2.5X extra hops. Did not prefer it over the base beer, but will buy the regular more often than I have been.

    Good day BAs! Still heading to TX from PA, after a slight detour:



    Sonofabitch!!! Neither photo of Toppling Goliath came out! Must of had my camera set incorrectly! I'll never pass this way again. Well, anyway, it's worth a side trip at least once in your life - excellent beer and excellent food, although the acoustics are rather bad - throughout our entire meal we could hear some clown lecturing but we couldn't locate him. Good brews I've never had before - Naughty 90 and King Sue - neither of which make it to NW PA. Stayed at a great hotel in Decorah - Hotel Winnesheik. Only issue was no in-room reefers.

    Today is laundry and house cleaning day...and apparently talk like a pirate day, arrrgg!...too bad I drank my Pirate BOMB last night; oh well something else may turn up. Cheers from the very mild Low Country!

    [​IMG] @DoctorZombies DAVE barely 40 in Central New Hampshire today, but this NEIPA brewed with apricot, almonds, and coconut will hit the spot this morning. @superspak Ian I am grabbing some Double Hearted on my way back from Kettlehead today. They just brought in a new chef and the new menu looks insane. I am going to try and hold on to Two Hearted until NBS, but we will see if I have the restraint. Cheers all.

    You actually get distinct fall/winter seasons; in the South the changes a more subtle...in SWFL it’s basically hot/unbearably hot/hot/some days not so hot...Cheers Tim!

    Yellowhammer Brewing Cheatin' Heart IPA

    Deep rich golden color with white cap and good lacing.

    Rich malt aroma with a good dose of piney hops.

    Flavor on entry is almost equal parts malty richness and hop brightness. Fairly simple flavors but served up in ample portions that lead to a fuller flavor profile. This isn't one of those IPAs where hops take over and malt just totes the luggage, rather seems to be a well thought out and crafted brew that keeps things in perspective while accenting the hop showcase. Hop flavors do build toward the finish and linger in the aftertaste but they are clean and bright without any heavy handedness.

    Happy Thursday... a few hours until our flight to Tampa... can't wait for beach, beers and sand... I'm not a big fan of this one but it will do.
