Had this on draft last time it was released, and it was undoubtedly my favorite treehouse beer to date. The can is excellent as well, but there is something special about draft beer at treehouse that just amplifiers mouth feel that can’t be duplicated in a can.
    Happy Thursday all!

Resin....can't get it where I live...the master distributor does not carry it for the beer distributors...but I happened to be near an old haunt that had it...so you know I had to get it!

Hope everyone had a good Thursday. Pretty slow day, had a couple of meetings to discuss process documents and presentations. Made a nice new beer haul as usual after work.

Austin Brothers The Parallyzer. Fantastic DIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, guava, red apple, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with honey, caramel, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-full body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/beady/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, minimal lingering hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, not overly aggressive, mild increasing warmth of 9.7%. Amazing Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe, and El Dorado profile. Extremely dank, earthy, vibrant, and fairly juicy hops; with a nice sized dark/bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. Loved it as expected. 4.23

Crystal clear, light golden colored body; tiny carbonation bubbles galore; head is decent if rather thin in the long run, white and dense; big patches of foam cling to the glass. Strong aroma of cereal grains; baked wheat and cracker; slightly herbal. The taste is wheat-forward; grainy; mild bitterness; a slight metallic flavor. Medium-light body; smooth and creamy; grain warmth; mainly dry finish.

This actually is a decent light beer, relatively flavorful with a nice body to it.

Did I say I was gonna stick to Pale Ales tonight? Well, I LIED, although this is kind of disappointing coming from De Molen, to be honest. Slight oxidation definitely coming through here, with somewhat sherry-esque notes distracting from the bourbon barrel-aged notes that are supposed to be star of the show here.

New Belgium Abbey Dubbel on a cool day, as I brace myself for the Packer game. My wife has taken to sticking random objects into my beer pictures. Last time it was coffee creamer. This one is appropriate given that our high was in the 60's today.
