My BA brother - thanks for starting the thread. But if you could give us a lil history of the beer or something, that would greatly be appreciated. Not that it’s necessary, but when people start the thread it’s always nice.

As far as Raul goes, I will cherish every sip of this beer. I kept swiping and swiping and “inserting my chip”... but my local AMPM wouldn’t take my card. Then all of a sudden a grizzled MF in line decided to pay for my beer. Again, I will cherish this beer because homeboy looked like a hard MF to be honest. Cheers to him, and bless all my BA brothers and sisters:

Have a nice Monday BA. Insomnia got the best of me, so I just stayed up all night reading Reddit and watching Hot Ones on Youtube. It's easy to entertain myself.

Hoof Hearted Did We Just Become Best Friends? (Centennial + Mosaic). Fantastic. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticly hops and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft, not aggressive, minimal warming 8%. Amazing Centennial/Mosaic profile as expected. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Will get again for sure.

Speciation Common Descent (Lemon & Lime). Outstanding Berliner as usual. Poor head retention, and no lacing as expected. Aromas and flavors of big tart/tangy lemons, limes, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, peppercorn, mint, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; light leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and Brett spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy wheat, lactic acid, and fruit tang in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy fruit dryness; no pucker/astringency. Refreshingly smooth, mellowly lactic, not watery for 3.2%. Fantastic balance of juicy/vibrant citrus and Brett/bacteria complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Another easy winner. Will get again.

Anytime IPA, not too bad although a low ABV one. Hence not a super Hop bomb and lacking maybe some flavors, still enjoyable...

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Hop Avenger. Awesome IPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, green peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 7.7%. Awesome Nugget, Mosaic, Ekuanot, Jester, Chinook, Citra, Mandarina Bavaria profile. Extremely vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hop complexity; with a nice clean bready Munich malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. Another great addition to the series.[IMG]

Good morning, BAs! Off today due to Rosh Hashanah. I’m not Jewish, but I always look forward to this day, since we’re now officially entering the best part of the year. Nice weather, lots of days off (for teachers at least), and great beers coming out left and right.

Thanks for this one @thisischuck01 ! This is my favorite of the ones you gave me last weekend. Super bitter, no lactose, just great hop flavor.

Hot Ones is great. Too many good ones to name a favorite but I really liked the Bob Saget and Idris Elba episodes. Cheers!

It's cool this morning, still in the mid 60s on its way up to a high of 74 in the Philly burbs. I'm enjoying a Southern Tier 2XStout. It's creamy & rich like you'd want a stout to be. I have no idea what makes it a "Double Milk Stout", but whatever they did works for me. It's full of roasty malts and a little dark chocolate bitterness. Good stuff.
