Three Magnets Jose Gose! This was fantastic. Great rocky head retention/spotty soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy lemon, lime, tomato, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, habanero peppers, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, and pepper spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat, lactic acid, fruit tang, sticky spice, and salinity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy/spicy dryness; no puckering/astringency. Zero warming 4.6%, light increasing pepper heat through the glass after the finish. Refreshingly smooth, not overly lactic/saline/spicy. Perfectly balanced tomato, lime, salt, peppers, and Lacto complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy/spicy dryness. Loved it, not overwhelming on any aspect. I love pepper beers a lot. 4.25

I look forward to this every year, and this year’s iteration is exceptional, IMHO. Loads of citrus and pine with a bite. Absolutely LOVE this.

 

Stroh's Detroit Lager. Very nice American lager. Great rocky head retention/spotty soapy lacing. Crystal clarity. Aromas and flavors of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; with some herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery hops. Muted aromas. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-mdium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very clean lager flavors, minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 4.6%. Great clean pils malt shocase, with nice noble hop presence/balance for the style. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Very well done as expected. 3.88

Thanks to @joe1510 for supplying the samples for a test I knew the answers to all along. The same beer bottled and canned is totally different. Looks different, smells different, tastes different. For all you fans of canned beers...you're chumps.

Goose Island's Tempo Black Lager.......I really like this, a bit light, but nice flavors, sweeter, some smoke, very easy to drink.
