    I saw the original 85 version by The Waterboys posted the other night that I probably haven't heard since back then. I'm really liking the new moodier version recently released.......

    ...granted I'm comparing an IIPA with an IPA, and this relatively new V5 is tasty, but I'd rather have the 7+ month old MBC Woods & Waters IPA I had earlier than this...

    Batch Handsome Stranger w/ Black Currant. Excellent saison. Poor head retention/no lacing. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy black currants, fruit skin/seed, cranberry, pomegranate, blackberry, hibiscus, strawberry, lemon, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, red grape/wine, peppercorn, clove, coriander, cardamom, hay, straw, herbal, floral, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough malts; light banana/bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness and tart/tangy hibiscus/currants on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced grainy malts, sticky spice, and fruit tang/acid/tannins in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing tart/tangy/spicy dryness; no pucker/astringency. Refreshingly smooth, minimal warming 7.3%. Awesome balanced juicy/jammy currants/hibiscus and Belgian yeast complexity; with a solid pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Spot on style example. Not any better than the base beer, which only had Hibiscus. This has grains of paradise and currants in addition. 3.97
