It's Friday Eve Eve!?
King Sue has eluded me for a loooong time for whatever reason. Finally!
Happy hump day... starting it with a fine Sour ale from Brooklyn:
Shoveling, plowing, and treadmill done, time for an amazing can of juice. This stuff is so darn tasty. Cheers all.
Why am I having another King Sue? Because I have nothing better to do.
I hear you bro. I’m not having another Sour, but let me crack open little Sumpin’.
upload your image from url
Having an IJndejaars from 'T IJ.
Cheers from Amsterdam!
Good morning BA
This is a really good beer...
I wouldn't buy it again due to price, but I'm enjoying it.
The glass is pretty cool too. I reckon you have a decent collection...
Astronaut Status by Wiseacre. Imperial stout aged 11 months in Woodford Reserve barrels with cinnamon and vanilla.
Still too cold right now but upon first pour no doubt that bourbon and cinnamon hit the nose.
Smell ya later...
Drinking a $3 Happy Hour Fiddlehead draft
I've acquired around 150 mugs & glasses over several years. Sometimes the glassware hunt is more tempting than the beer hunt. I enjoy it and that's what matters. Cheers
Attractive light lemony yellow color with deep white cap and very good lacing.
Big citrus, clove spiced, banana nut bread aroma. Hint of white pepper as well.
Taste is spicy clove banana on entry quickly joined by a layered citrus effect that's not identifiable as lemon/lime or that sort of thing, rather a presence of the essence of citrus. And I mean light citrus, not sharp heavy citrus like grapefruit or anything like that.
Five years old today!
To clarify, the beer is five. I'm much older.
Still bitter, but not the full on, sharp pine, tongue assault that it is fresh. A nice sipper. A lot has changed from 10 years ago when I used to come home from work and drink a couple of these from the bottle in under 30 minutes. I really loved my super bitter west coast beers back then. Cheers all!
Probably not drinking tonight, so doing day 4 of the 25 beers of Christmas while I’m putting holiday stuff up outside before heading in early to work.
Still not feeling that festive music vibe yet.
Happy midpoint, advocates!
I don't have a beer advent calendar. What I do have, apparently, is an Enjoy By every day.
Day four now, I believe. Something tells me @bowzer4birdie and @TheIPAHunter will approve of my substitution over whatever it is Costco gives you.
Love our Bigfoot don't we @SawDog505 ?
Of course, dear sir. Imbibe!
I may crack a 2014 tonight and see how it is drinking in your honor. Cheers brother!
Drinking SN Hazy Little
Clown Shoes - Gordo (16oz can).. it's an Imperial pumpkin stout aged in bourbon barrels.. cheers!
Cheers from Colorado. Rareb runch beer.
How is that one? I’ve had a couple Foley Brothers IPA’s that I’ve really enjoyed, but not since they started distributing to NJ.
Oh my goodness another Guinness
It is one of the greatest Pumpkin Stouts on the earth. Cheers man.
Enjoying Odell's IPA as I get a fire going.
Celebrating the rain on my day off. This beer is tasting really good straight from the bottle.
Donker and it may not be the last one - I’ll see
Bells Special Double Cream Stout 6%. Bottled 8/16/19 It had a little more coffee flavor when fresher but it's a nice easy drinking Stout. This is the last dark beer left in my fridge. I need to go find more good stouts.
I just had an opportunity to help out brewing at a local microbrewery for a day yesterday and it was a really cool and interesting experience. I might even be able to do it again sometime in the future.
Currently having a Saison brewed with hibiscus and ginger which has a really nice balance of subtle flavors going on. Quite enjoyable.
I'm picking up 3 Floyd's Alpha Klaus and Zombie Dust on the way home!
