Second visit to my favorite new microbrewery, Vinohradsky Pivovar, drinking “Imperial IPA 19”:

All I know so far is that it is DDH, the aroma is grapefruit, orange and lemongrass. Add sticky pine to the flavor and you’ve got a beer that strongly resembles Pliny - Cheers from Prague!

Good afternoon DoctorZombies, seems you’re enjoying Prague and I heard there are some French beers waiting for you at the hotel...

Buy and drink local we’re being told all the time, why the hell not. La charmeuse is a local pale ale, a good - strong on citrus one for 1.65€ at ALDI. No little money wasted here.

I also heard Keith Richards was still alive and kicking so why the hell should I stop drinking?

Back at hotel. Had a nice meet up with brewer at brewery and got some info to add his beer just released Friday to BA and UT...Mrs. Z overdid again yesterday and is still in bed (3pm), so I’m enjoying a lovely French beer in the room from @Shanex - Fischer (Heineken France) Trois Houblon Alsaciens (three hops golden ale):

If you happened to be a teenage boy in the 70s and didn't have this poster plastered on every wall of your bedroom...well...all maledom would wonder what was wrong with you.

If you don't know who that is on the cover...your loss.

Should head back to the hotel, but seduced by the prospect of Cloudwater IPA (NE) 6.5%, on draught:

Outstanding!Well balanced. Typical strong nose, light taste, light body. A different way of approaching what for some could be a great beer experience:Cloudwater...Cheers from Prague!

Nice brisk morning here NE of Seattle. Now that the sun is up, this happened over night, first snow of the season. Temps aren't going to get above freezing this week and I'm loving it. Got food, firewood and above all beer, I got all proactive and stocked up over the weekend. Might go make a snowman in a bit with the wife.

I'm having Ommegang Three Philosophers Red Wine Barrel variant. The red wine barrel really brings out and strengthens the cherries from the kriek. But other than that, there's really not that much added to the base. Of course, the base Three Philosophers is freaking awesome, so that's ok.

Westmalle Tripel - while watching Messiah one of the latest Netflix series. It’s pretty good and ambitious, the main character particularly cracks me up albeit unintentionally.

I'm having a New Holland Dragon's Milk Reserve Oatmeal Cookie. I haven't rated this one yet, but when I do, it's going to get really high marks. This is a spectacular beer. The bourbon barrel is a little understated. There's cinnamon, vanilla, & oats clearly present. It's complex and right on point for what they are shooting for. The only flaw is that I don't get the raisins, so it's more of an oatmeal cookie than an oatmeal raisin cookie.
