Morning BAs, a windy, rainy and overall gloomy day. Little Sumpin’ to get us started... cheers!
At the bar in the basement of Municipal House waiting for tour of this magnificent Art Nouveau decorated building completed in 1911...first, a Pilsner Urquell:
Urquell at the source... leaving CZ tomorrow? You still have a couple beers to sip on from your French counterpart.
sounds like he should grab a paddle boat and do some boat beers
Sunny but only 40 today, so afternoon tea in what is advertised as the finest Art Nouveau decorated restaurant in Europe, instead !
This stuff is really impressive Maine is on Fire @BEERMILER12 . Cheers all.
G'day early BA's! Making the most of my day off, a few chores but relaxing with a little CBS after a 20 mile paved trail cycling. Supposed to be near record high temp today of 84.
Only my 3rd or 4th ride since last fall, slow and steady, felt good. About 20-25 other retired cyclists out this morning as well. Gotta love the cals burned.....
Howdy. A Lizard King for the morning, a reminder that we're not alone in the house... got some squirrels (only? I hope?) in the walls. *sigh* Time to make some calls before they chew through wires or end up in bed with us. Cheers anyway... that and a visit to the dentist today do not make for a great day. But who knows?
Ch’ti Blonde - a bière de garde. I’ve said this before here in this thread but in case you may ask, « Ch’ti » is a northern French slang for an inhabitant of the region... Lille, Dunkirk, Calais etc... cheers!
That ain’t so bad either
I kinda forgot it was winter lol
Squirrels can be boring - had a mouse in my place a few years ago. The naughty bugger wouldn’t move out and was way faster than my sorry ass. Had no choice than buy some poison. Sorry to the PETA/animal friendly people here.
Et oui mon ami, c'est embêtant.... couldn't help it. I love puns. All's fair in love and house-war, however.
A plus tard... tchin-tchin!
Good pun! Although impossible to translate it to English. Cheers and santé!
Just arrived in England. A pint in the hotel bar will do for now as I try to fight off jet lag.
Getting back into my regular routine now that the cruise is over. This is like drinking ten cups of espresso!
Morning cheers! Following @Shanex 's lead in brewery pick, but going a different route in taste.
I've got some boxes that need to go out, as well.
So, despite the jet lag, whatcha drankin' there mate?
uh. Slow start to the day. OK. Fine. Here's my 2nd, Obsidian Stout.
Tuesday gauntlet launched. Glove-slapped.
Also, watching The Witcher - strangely compelling despite its weirdness. Laterz
Shell Shock IPA Georgetown Grand Cayman.
Green flash Saturhaze ipa. 4.2%
Camden Town Pale Ale. They are owned by InBev....the other options were Bud, Bud Light, Goose Island IPA, and Stella. A shame!
I’m awake....which is a miracle. But exploring for a real pub is beyond my capabilities right now. I’m here two more nights, so plenty of “real ale” in my future.
It's sunny and 18°, so I'm outside working and drinking.
A beer from @Shanex in the room:
Day off, and exercise is done! Not much else planned for the day so I'm having a Divine IPA with lunch. Fantastic balance of citrus, tropical fruit, peach, and an incredibly satisfying dry piney earthiness.
Port - Board Meeting Coffee Brown Ale (16oz can).. cheers!
What are your thoughts?
Donkey Reef, poolside. Cheers from the Heckerling conference.
Founders Imperial Stout, top shelf brew
Drinking SN 40th Anniversary Ale
Listening to the pride of the Punjab, Hardy Sandhu
I like the coriander and light sweetness
The spiciness makes it stand out from other blondes. Thanks!
Hello Ba ... stopping in to check out a new to me brewery, Olentangy River Brewing. Yes that is a flight served in a muffin pan. Cheers !
A Pilsner for the road:
Trying out Anderson Valley Funkin Nutz. A good IPA but there's nothing here to get too excited about.
No problem. I assume you barely have time to review these beers I sent to you there, but make sure to rate/tick them at least.
Two Juicy with a little chicken salad sandwich. Awesome 82 degrees here.
Another local IPA.
JDub - Passion Wheat
What I like is that they give pretzels with the flight! Believe it or not the only time I got anything with a flight in all the breweries I have been to across this great country of ours was at The Answer in Richmond,VA! Who would have thought it would have been so close to home! For the record, they gave cheddar Goldfish! But, that was years ago, they haven’t done that in a while.
