Morning Bowzer and thanks for getting us started on this day...

Random purchase at ALDI, a sixer of this beer for a ridiculously cheap price, it’s a bit of a copycat of Leffe and the likes Belgians blondes. For 3.85€ I cannot complain.

While many BAs are metal heads, occasionally I will drop something else. This song is known to many, the video maybe not as much. It includes very skilled young woman dancing...

Didn't get to post yesterday (very busy playing video games and watching football - lol), but checked out the bourbon and wine barrel editions of Three Philosophers...
Was not disappointed! I imagine you have to enjoy Three Philosophers to a degree, as the base beer shines alongside the barrel treatments - so you get a fairly distinct-tasting quad, with cherry notes from the kriek mingling with typical spiced fruit and sweet dark bread elements common to a Belgian quad... This, in particular, has some light mineral notes and a shellac left on the palate; medium-bodied, moderately carbonated, soft, but tingly...
The bourbon barrel edition was all o' that, but with woody and tannic notes up front and throughout, and a subtle vanilla sweetness of bourbon and dates on the finish... The wine barrel edition swapped out the woody tannins for the dark fruity tang of black currant, sour cherry, and sharp oak... Both barrels worked really well with the beer...

I also had a bourbon and coke...

    *top shelf* lol

Predictable results to the games yesterday, no? Woulda liked an upset in the KC game, but whatevs... Low investment Super Bowl on the horizon - prolly partial to the Niners - being a fan of strong defenses and running games, à la the Steelers and Giants of old...

Anyways, starting my day with some Blueberry Coffee...

(Brief WBAYDN break for me, brethren and sistren, as I have a tooth procedure - laser gums! - to endure and I can't drink the sauce or elevate heart rate for a week or so. We'll see how disciplined I can be about it - but in the meantime, enjoy your "now" beers and see you on the flipside -- cheers!) *end transmission*

"Laser gums" probably isn't as fun as it sounds sans context
