    bigfoot like transformation with that beer. at release, the stout was was easily my favorite of the 4 30th anniversary beers--i loved that beer. however, the black barleywine has turned into something really really special. i cellared a couple, and loved the hell out of them in 2013.

    honestly, i wish i'd bought a case.

    Got to enjoy a wonderful day off up at the lake today, taking some kiddos around the lake in the speed boat. Now, kicking back some Burton Baton before bed. Bottled 1/31/13 seems perfect for this beer!

    Shared a couple growlers with my beer buddy tonight; Racer 5000 from Bear Republic and Winter Warmer from Heavy Seas. We combined the two on the left overs and that wasn't a half bad idea.

    glad burton baton's doing well. i hated this year's batch @ release, but i've had too many good experiences with it to write it off... not surprised at all if the rest of the 6pk i have cellared has turned to gold.

    Very tasty. It would seem that all of my favorite fruit brews are raspberry ales. I think I'm gonna have to do a half & half with a porter and see how it turns out.
