What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #2715

I’m deloused and ready to relax, cheers!

 

Guys, does anyone know who the BA with the Parageusias, a Fou Foune, and a Framboos (empty bottles) in their profile pic is? I was so sure it was @larryi86 but upon going to message him, his profile pic is clearly a lambic chug. Am I going crazy? I feel like I see the picture everyday! I know someone knows who I'm talking about here.

 

After working in front of the laptop for a few hours longer than expected, it’s finally time for a beer.

Had a couple G&T earlier when the weather was gorgeous while working outside. Tanqueray Rangpur, a splash of bitter lemon vodka and a dash of tonic:



After a few of those I’m onto the the beer portion of my evening, starting with this Oatmeal Cookie-inspired Stout from Modern Times, Pharaoh Ascendant:

 

Do they have Toppers Pizza by you? That is always what I get for Wrestlemania, except for the year 2,000, when I got Papa John's.

 

So far this Black Butte 29 is fairly meh, hopefully room temp is kinder to it..

 

Lagunitas Super Cluster Ale. Paired with Gran Torino on AMC. Clint, as I have mentioned several times, is a true BA. Cheers!

He was too good for us. It seems everyone I meet who loves Elliott Smith also loves Death Cab. Gotta be something there.

I think my holy trinity of modern music would comprise of Death Cab, Bright Eyes/Conor Oberst, and Elliott Smith. Ben Hubbard has been doing daily livestream sets from home at 7pm EST. Worth the watch!

I bought two sixers of Weihenstephaner Original Premium. I thought they would easily last me the weekend. But as I keep watching the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 tracker, I'm not so sure. More than 15,000 new confirmed cases in the U.S. since last night!

 

Nothing like the stealth great beer shop. I think most of us have stumbled across them at one point or another where your expectations are zero and then all of a sudden you're like "what the heck, this is awesome". Here's to good fortune!

 

Speaking of Labatt Blue memories. That one I just finished is another memory . Cheers!

Windmill Nuts & Jolts Imperial Milk Stout (lactose, cocoa nibs, peanuts, coffee). The description:


Not as much peanut butter presence as the first batch, but still good. Milk and bakers chocolate and a significant coffee presence. Also bringing caramel, roasted malt, and lactose sweetness. Yes, it's sweet, but that's expected. A good "pastry" stout. Cheers!
