    Happy Monday advocates. Wasn't going to drink today but it's @SawDog505 birthday so why not have a couple. Goose island 2 year reserve is tasting perfect this morning cheers

    Another trip to the basement for todays first beer. Not sure how old it is but I'm pretty sure that Dark Horse changed the label for Plead The Fifth to a darker color several years ago.

    Toasting @SawDog505 with a New Hampshire brew, courtesy of @Ocalafox - “Scottie’s IPA” by Moat Mountain Brewing Co., Mount Washington Valley, North Conway, NH:

    Two fingers of rocky white foam cover an semi opaque deep gold liquid, yet exhibiting clarity under ok cap retention when held up to the light; as liquid reduces, thin ring and soapy lacing remain. DDH emits strong peach, melon and grapefruit notes. Taste follows nose and includes a light bitter lemon rind/citrus finish; very light malt sweetness for a foundation. Medium lite body, moderate minus carbonation, soft pleasing feel (oats?); no hop astringency. Overall, this IPA has a great nose and tastes good; light easy drinking and well balanced between the sweet malt and bitter hops; I could pound these all day long.

    Have a good Monday. Slept in today a bit. Played a fair bit of video games last night until 430 AM and got tired.

    Victory Java Latte. Excellent milk stout. Lasting rocky head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, grass, herbal, peppercorn, pine, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel. Slight lingering resins. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Minimal warming 8.2%. Great balance of rich malts, fruity/nutty coffee complexity, and lactose; with balancing earthy hops. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Very enjoyable! Would have preferred less bitterness. 4.03

    Another day of quarantine. Same routine: read, watch TV, take dogs for walks, go online, cook dinner, etc. We're all in good health, hope my fellow BAs can say the same.
