Argh, I tried an Incessant from Bell’s but this did not work for me. Too sweet and an earthiness or herbal hop note that I was not digging. Life is too short.

Had to call an audible. Went to an old standby that is now stocking my fridge since I’m out of Sip.

Alaskan Hazy Bay Juicy IPA. Excellent NEIPA. Nice head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big pineapple, tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and yeast tang on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming 6%, or lingering hop burn after the finish. Very smooth/soft. Great Sultana, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Citra profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. No complaints. 4

Sue is in the house on hump-day/taco Tuesday night. We work a 4 x 10 schedule so we're halfway thru the week, except for the fact that the wife takes 4 days off a month and I usually don't take any....

I still think Blow by Blow was one of Jeff's best albums. Actually, I just got Rough and Ready on CD and have really been enjoying it. Bob Tench was the guy to follow Rod Stewart on vocals and got pretty heavily panned, but I like him and I like that iteration of the Jeff Beck band.

    Bearing witness ...

Really liked this one when it dropped (about the same time as Elysian Contact Haze) but the hype has kind of warn off for me. Still wouldn't turn one down though.

Jeff Beck is awesome. And the drummer and the mix on the drums, drives everything... Simply put, the band just grooves so many times in the set.

You do know I know that group. Even before they added Neil Young. I got lost brain cells to prove it. Wait a minute. How can one measure that. All my crazy aside, the group produced memorable songs.

I found myself really getting to know JB with 'Blow By Blow', but things before and things afterwards have been pretty exciting, too...'You Had It Coming' with 'Dirty Mind' comes to mind (an @eppCOS-kind of pun intended). It helped me through my tour in Osan, Korea in 2001...

Next is some fresh KBS. Despite it all, this might still be my favorite imperial stout for not only it's flavor but also its availability. Locally made imperial stouts are great, but it's comforting that I can find a 4 pack of this in season in most parts of the country.
