Apparently Fiden's is up-and-coming in NY. Yeah, I'm not sure about that. I understand they're in the crowler phase, so I won't rush to pre-judgement. A lot of breweries dial it in as they go.

That said: It looks like dirty dishwater. It tastes like banana bread. It's almost like they were like: "Yeah, bro this is different. We got it hazy, and we added a fruity element that isn't all too common."

Please go drink a Tree House beer, then come back and tell me why they are the standard. This is a no-go for me. Nope.

OK, as a Cali guy, have you had the OG version? I have to ask, because, as I understand it, this version is different. Thoughts?

I think OH's base version was better. Not gonna bullshit. The only two breweries I ever got that bubble gum yeast from were Tree House, then EQ. Phenomenal. I think Trillium's DDH version is still the GOAT, if all things are right.

Mmmmmm, scharzbier. By all means, pair with grilled meat and behold the magic!

Always such a pleasure to read your reviews. So thoughtful and descriptive, and devoid of BS. (Yeah, I am indeed dissing you folks who name 17 fruit varieties in your aroma and taste descriptions, lol. If I ever see that in a lager review, my eyes might just roll out of my head.) Your photos are always a treat too. Gorgeous pours, staged beautifully. Love the musical theme you sometimes use.

Will check out this EJ album. I see it features George Coleman on sax. I love his My Horns of Plenty album.

I agree! It's different; less bitter and roasty, a little smoother, and slightly lower ABV. But I can grab either FBS or Reve any time, any day, and be happy with the choice.

I decided to get Modelo instead of Lone Star this time but I got PBR to swap out with. I got some Belgian beers. Rochefort 10's and Delirium Tremens for a change. I haven't been going inside the store so I can't verify dates on IPA's but I take chances on some mostly local to get fresh. Like they have Alpine Nelson but are notoriously outdated. COVID LIFE sucks DT.

My gf can drink all the Fiden's she wants. I want some hops in my mouth. Like real hops. I want to be overwhelmed by the nuances, and texture. Cheers!

Cloud Sourced by Two Roads. Great name (although I suppose all water is thus) and great can art, thus the music:

Stay Safe, Mind your Feet (should you find yourself "Lost in the Clouds"), and Sláinte!

This is kind of a lighter version of their India Pale Ale, with a certain West Coast character, but a bit too malty for a Pale Ale in my opinion, with a very strong caramel malt presence.
