Just finished mowing the lawn and the heat index is, as they say in these parts, wicked hot.

drinking one of these for the first time
L 3.75 A 3.75. T 4 MF 4. O 3.75
16 oz can. 5.5 abv
pours straw colored with a 1 finger fluffy white head
Aroma was of yeast, malt and baked bread, it was a bit off putting to be honest. I didn’t have much hope that I’d like it
Taste had notes of floral, citrus malt and a slight dankness
Mouthfeel was smooth and crisp with a lingering malty baked bread finish But very light tasting and slightly sticky
Overall I liked the smoothness and refreshing aspects of this very drinkable beer. Makes an excellent lawnmower beer. Cheers

My wife is drinking a Moscow Mule as usual and I'm having an On-Belay IPA from Lander Brewing.

This tastes like sessionable bong water IPA compared to 2xHearted. Canned on 20200511. Kept cold for most of it at my local packee.

Hoegaarden witbier - a stunner - grabbed another 6 today...

Creamy, fluffy, smooth, soft - mousse-like and mild...

Hitachino Nest Japanese Classic Ale...

Malty IPA-type ale with cedar wood impressions to dry it out...

Eagle's Banana Bread Beer...

Little disappointing - really just an IPA with banana notes - was hoping it'd be a little richer or sweeter or more banana bread-like in a dessert-type way...

Sam Smith's Nut Brown Ale in a can...

A classic brown ale - nice canning, too...

And then yesterday...

Bellhaven Black nitro Scottish stout...

Good, but like all nitro stouts seems to sacrifice some flavor for feel - not a bad thing, but a thing...

From black to red, Delirium Red...

Kinda blends a Flanders Red with a strong Belgian pale - some grape and cherry and sweettart flavors, but not a sour - just a little tangy tartness...

Catskill's helles lager, Gray Ghost...

Okay, but unexceptional lager - ran a little too heavy/chewy for me for the style...

And also from Catskill, their saison, Cemetery Pool...

Like their helles lager, good but not exceptional - true to the style but doesn't stand out from the bigger and more familiar saisons...

And right now I'm finishing off this bottle of Caratere Rouge from Rodenbach...
