    PH8 from Transmitter. I wrote the other day about stopping in at the (relatively) new location at the Brooklyn Navy Yards. Didn't get around to trying until today. Pow! What a pretty and crushable sour. I shall most certainly be back.

    Garden Path -- Foraged Blackberries (3rd Edition)

    3rd Edition packaged 4/3/19

    Dirty rosé colored body; mildly cloudy; nice thick and spongy white head. Fruity, funky smell; a touch of blackberry. Weak tasting elements of blackberry and apple cider; tart and phenolic. Generally light body; thin and watery; brut dryness throughout.

    Not a very exciting wild ale. Sure, one can detect the blackberries, but it's not clear how the honey has come into play. The dryness really offsets the tartness. Somewhat okay for a wild ale but not overly impressive.

    Disappointed. This Orange Julian (DDH w/Nelson, Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe) was tasting good day 1 (Released 7/1). But starting from my 2nd can last week and my 4th can today - the drop off is immense.

    While before it was very fruit-forward with oats and yeast to give it that Orange Julius-like character, the citrus notes have faded quite far in the background. What that leaves is the impression of "hop water". It's vegetal. It's bitter. But almost no other notes to support it, leaving it wildly unbalanced. I had that opinion last week. And drinking another today does nothing to improve it.

    Just glad this is my last can, and it's over. Ugh.
