[IMG] Poured into a 16 oz Nordic Pint glass canned on 7/15/2020. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves a massive foam collar as it slowly settles. 5

Smell is ripe mango, cantaloupe, peach, papaya, mandarin, and apricot. 4.75

Taste follows mango, cantaloupe, passion fruit, peach, papaya, mandarin orange, and apricot, really impressive and amazingly balanced. 4.75

Mouthfeel is a big medium, soft gentle carbonation, a tad sticky but never dry, and at 8.1% easy drinking, but packed with tropical flavor. 5

Overall this brewery has stormed onto the seen in NH and beer geeks are all talking about them, as they should! This is world class stuff. 4.75

Coffee. Too early for a beer. Possibly one or 2 SN Torpedos tonight. Solid WCIPA representation.

[IMG] Poured into a 16 oz Deciduous Snulip glass canned on 7/14/2020 most likely. Pours a slightly cloudy pink with a finger plus head that settles rather quickly leaving sporadic white lace. 4.25

Smell is coconut, pineapple, cherry, and raspberry. 4.25

Taste follows coconut, pineapple, cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. 4.25

Mouthfeel is almost medium slightly watery, plenty of prickly carbonation, not dry, and at 6% loaded with flavor and very easy going down. 4.25

Overall this is not sour, but really really tasty and so darn crushable that I keep trying to slow down but it is so good and different I can’t stop sniffing and sipping. 4.25

On the road again, now in Normandy visiting the D-Day beaches, enjoying the regular beaches and possibly a few museums here and there. Oh and beers too of course. Shame on me, nothing local but Sumpin Sumpin follows me everywhere:

    Cheers!

Slow Beats Miami, an IPA collab from Finback and J. Wakefield. Delicious. Coconut is perfect in this. Considering the hangover I have right now, this is absolutely necessary right now.

Busy morning so far BAs. Early trip to grocery store (nobody there) for week’s shopppng/beer and wine reloads...then home to “supervise” contractor installing hurricane covers on our windows and glass doors...coffee break - FBS:

Just picked this 4/pk up today. Bottled 6/6/20 and fresher than most IPAs on the shelf. Took a pass on “oil cans” of Fosters, buy 3, get 2 free with a best by date of December 2020. I’m happy with my cup o joe poured at 53° and coffeelicious - Cheers y’all, and have a magnificent Monday!

French broad brewing Wee Heavy-er scotch ale with lunch. A bit restrained and subdued for my tastes, but still a solid beer.

What a lush. 2 posts out of the first 10. Industrial Arts State of the Art, a cream ale with Strata hops. Jeez, this one is hitting the spot, big time. The Strata gives it a bit of a berry taste, and this is straight up just a great beer.

The constant hammer drilling into our concrete block walls is driving me to drink...so a second cold FBS from the store this morning:

Background objects de jure: The owl is one of several Mrs. Z got in Greece a few years ago (we like owls, they supposedly bring good luck)...and also on the desk, one of my favorite brewery coasters that I got at the brewery in Adelaide, Australia: Big Shed Brewing...it’s flagship brew was an American Pale Ale style called “F’ Yeah”, a great beer if you are ever down under...

Mrs. Z got another peck of peaches last week (finally ripe) and I’ve got a big beef roast thawed in the sink that needs to be seared in the skillet, then cooked in the crockpot today...I’ll then bake a fresh peach pie (with Granny Smith apples)...so I better move my arse and get busy. Cheers!

    Good afternoon BA
My son and I helped my mother in law's husband grind several stumps out their landscape and yard this morning with a rented stump grinder. I was somewhat surprised that's a thing you can just rent.

No mishaps, so on to more mundane chores here around the house and a couples new beers.

Starting off today with a Bell's Oberon.

Nice easy start to the day. Chicago is closing indoor brewery without food service yet again starting this Friday, a shame because breweries have been operating responsibly whereas bars serving food by me are COVID gauntlets.

I guess that is what we get when we wake up on a Monday.

La Cumbre is one of my favorite breweries, and Siren Song is one of my favorite beers from them. They put an exclamation point on Imperial Red Ales. If you ever have an opportunity to try this beer, don't pass it up!

Thanks for the YRL pic, Tim. We miss that place, and I doubt we'll be there before next summer.

Here is my breakfast beer and food. We are now heading to San Diego, CA, for beer and lunch. We are rolling down the PCH in a 2009 Toyota Yaris, a classic piece of transportational engineering and artistic design.
