    AleSmith (Miramar), Modern Times (Point Loma) and Resident (Downtown) are my favorite San Diego Breweries. Hope you are able to hit at least one of those. Love the area along the way (Del Mar / Torrey Pines). My favorite taproom in the San Diego area is San Diego Tap Room in Pacific Beach, many great Cali pours on tap, and their food is on point.

    Also, don't leave Cali without hitting up Beachwood, or at least having a few of their outstanding pours (Amalgamator, Citraholic, Mocha Machine, Hops of Brixton, many others).

    I purchased a six pack of this beer today specifically to pair with with whiskey.

    I've had good luck with medium ABV dark beers in the past and wanted one I've never reviewed. Surprised this one is still on the grocery shelf. Dubbel & Trippel are long gone replaced with some Voodoo nonsense. No offense to @scream. I'll going to find a whiskey to pair with the second half of this glass. Cheers all!
