Up Up & Away, an Imperial IPA collab between Magnify Brewing and Sand City Brewing Co., two producers of great beer. One of the first times I really think I can perceive the influences of each on the end product. Delightful.

Stay Safe, Fly High, and Sláinte, mo chairde!

I'm enjoying a 2017 Bourbon County Brand Stout. This has deepened with the extra time on it. It was freaking awesome fresh, and a little time has served it well. It is full of chocolate, coffee and bourbon barrel. This is what every BA Stout is trying, but failing, to be. Two snaps up, with a twist.

Up all night after 911 call for wife. She had severe abdominal pains- worse than labor she said. Spent all night at the hospital. Looks like kidney stones.
Really enjoying this one. Hopefully they have another 4 pk left tomorrow.[IMG]

    Two observations:

That’s a damn fine looking beer!

You’ve really been on a German kick lately, for which I do not blame you.

Finished the day off with some 3F Hommage, which was fantastic. I grew up on IPAs, but my heart is with Lambics. Such good flavor!

I hope she's okay. Kidney stones are incredibly painful, I've dealt with them twice. When it hits it will definitely cause you to double over in pain. They actually gave me morphine to dull the pain. Worst pain I ever experienced. How's she doing now?

Daze from Tree House. They accomplished exactly what they set out to do. It tastes almost exactly like Haze, yet at a 6.9% abv. Well done. Cheers!

    Oskar Blues Ten Fidy

This particular batch turns three years old in a month. It tastes damn good, although I think it's past its prime. It might be better for some, but for me, I prefer it fresh to a year or so. Still, no complaints to find I have another half dozen Ten Fidy on hand.

    Cheers!

Sorry to hear about your friend passing. Yeah, there's not much you can do but wait for the stone to pass - drink lots of water. They gave me Oxy but I never took it, I used extra strength Tylenol and that worked for me. Hope things get back to normal quickly for her. Cheers!

This second offering from Slovakia is a little more interesting, being brewed with rhubarb, although it doesn't really come through all that much. Still makes for an enjoyable brew though.

As usual, I'm getting a blur issue with your photos. Have you tried adjusting your shutter speed to burst? I know that when I'm drinking, this can be an issue. Also, perhaps your dioptric wheels need some calibrating to project a clear image that allows you to determine an accurate focus from jump street. Myriad smart phones, as well as, digital cameras feature a zoomed-in portion of your pic on the rear liquid-crystal display (LCD) screen as you’re maneuvering the manual focus. This accentuates accuracy while averting blur.

What do I know, though? Your pictures have always had a sort of Rembrandt quality. Cheers!
