    Another cross-post with NBW. I still focus my new beer reviews on Sunday afternoons rather than throughout the weekend. This is Pakeha Pilz, a "New Zealand Pilsner" brewed by Somers Point Brewing Company in South Jersey. I filled the crowler yesterday. I'm a big fan of Motueka hops in IPAs but was unaware that Motueka is the product of cross-breeding New Zealand hops with Saaz, which is used in Bohemian Pilsners. So it all makes sense. There are some soft tropical fruit notes you don't typically find in a pilsner, along with some nice spicy notes at the finish. This is really good!

    Totally different animal to the local collab version, which is more of a dessert beer. But I dig it. Incidentally, another local BiB collaboration, not yet released, is going to be a black saison. Love that people are being so creative with this project.

    Firestone Walker Fly Jack Hazy IPA, 96 Calories, the first one I had wasn't bad; but after drinking a good IPA, it will probably taste like water

    I actually bought it in Belgium. And €9 was cheaper than the €12 I paid for my first bottle in the Netherlands. In Germany... forget it. Not available as far as I know.

    She’s started to figure out the price of Tropicalia is $10 so she’s basically attributing most six packs to that, fortunately since there is only four tall boys that’s cheaper...in her eyes...
