I'm just kicking back in the A/C with the three dogs. Wifey is taking a nap and has the cat with her. I'm enjoying a Flyin' Hawaiian from Evil Genius. They call it a tropical punch pale ale, and it hits the mark. It's full of pineapple, guava and mango aromas and flavors. I wish I had more than just the one.

Not bad, not great. I prefer it to its cousin Pabst. I used to buy a 30 pack every other week on sale my senior year of college while I was working full time and finishing up. (Not that I only drank 15 a week, Pabst 30s were on sale the opposite week). Cheers all!

Good day advocates and TGIF. Getting into some district 96 and vitamin sea juicy goodness. This is for the Portland trailblazers who deserve to make it to the finals. Damian Lilard makes it look too easy cheers

Local heavy metal band this horns up Friday from me, my brother actually knows this singer and was friends with one of his brothers growing up. Last I heard Guy moved to NH and became a cop. Seems like he is more focused on the record label and promoting other artists now. Good people.:heavymetal:

Revolution Hop Butcher Collaboration pick up. Check!

First Revolution Brewpub visit since The Rona. Check!!

Revolution Very Old Deth by Currents, a 14.3% Imperial Double Stout.

    9 oz snifter pour.

Appearance: Pitch black pour, light thin bubbly tan ring around 9 oz snifter, poured full with no room for head. 4.25

Aroma: Bold pleasant smooth whiskey leads, fruit back, plums, blackberries, bakers chocolate, strong leather and oak. Outstanding. 4.75

    Taste:
Very sweet pour, currants take the lead and will not relinquish. Served ice cold, so I let this sit and cupped with my hands for five minutes. As this warms, the fine and smooth Woodford Reserve takes center stage, offering a nice contrast to the cavity inducing sweetness. Like a spiked snow cone, coupled with cotton candy. I typically do not like very sweet beers, but warm this works very well. 4.25

    Mouthfeel:
Cough syrup thickness, high level of sweetness, full creamy body, no carbonation, sweetness lingers after the pour. 4.25

    Overall:
This is another great barrel fruit offering from Revolution. It was the primary reason I stopped in today, and I am very pleased I did. Let this baby warm and while it will balance out, very sweet but also very good. 4.25

Two songs, the first song as I entered, the second the tradition Hymn to Friday by Chicago treasure Oscar Brown Junior.

Old School R & B Sirius on for the old folk happy!

Happily retired, but also happy to celebrate early Friday brewery opening hours!

I had a Jersey Mike's Philly cheese steak with jalapeno peppers for a late lunch with my dad. Baked Lays sour cream and onion chips. Love this IPA, and am definitely happy that Short's will still be available when I move to Ohio. Too bad most of the limited releases won't be, but there is always a fair trade off as far as the Ohio breweries I will have back on board.
