    Taking a break from a minor bathroom remodeling job. It seems my daughter would like to deodorize, clean, repaint and redecorate the bathroom her brother was using before moving off to college. No biggie and a good project with her. Cheers all!

    Dude, I love Sunday beers. If I had to cut it down to 1 day a week, that day would be Sunday. Great for forgetting the shitty reality of Monday job requirements.

    Good afternoon, BA! Glorious day here in the Cedar Valley: mid-70's, sunny, a slight breeze. Perfect weather for this Cerveza Conspiracy, an American wild ale from City Barrel Brewing in Kansas City. This is a collab with Stockyards, another KC brewery. This is quite good. No flavorings to distract from the base beer, which is a very clean and crisp lip-smacking sour. I love the hint of stockyard (no, really) funk on the nose and the umami notes on the palate. Sourness fades rapidly to a dry finish that begs for another sip. Cheers, all!

    I'm having an Oktoberfest by Yuengling. It's a classic Marzen according to the label. It's a gorgeous looking beer...crystal clear burnt amber color with a fluffy, khaki head that faded quickly, but left very good lacing. The nose is heavy on the maltiness, with a bit of caramel. Taste follows the nose, just not a lot going on here. If you told me this was a close cousin of their Lager, I'd buy that. I rated it a 3.24 which is right in line with its BA average of 3.35.

    What Could go wrong ??? Triple IPA from Track Brewing (Manchester) in collaboration with Green Cheek Brewing Co & Highland Park Brewing.
