ave a good Tuesday. I have to drive to Ohio this afternoon. I will probably pack half of my stout cellar into my hatchback, and drop that off somewhere in the house. Will bring one bike to throw in the shed too. Plus whatever else I can fit. Will prob have dinner with my dad, and then go up north to see my nephew and toke with my sister/BIL later at night. Got an interview on site for an Engineering job in manufacturing at 2PM tomorrow. Better get some khakis and collared work shirts out of the closet. Been almost 8 months since I’ve worn any of that attire. Should throw a designer tie on for fun too.

Griffin Claw OK Boomerang. Looks like I fixed the light glare on my lens finally. :weary: Fantastic American barleywine. Poor head retention/minimal lacing. Light spotty soapy with steaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of big peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, white grape, berries, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, honey, white bread dough, light caramel, wood, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery piney bitterness; and light alcohol spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; creamy/bready malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds lingering after the finish in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter/spicy alcohol dryness. No cloying/astringent flavors. Mild increasing warmth of 15%, with minimal lingering booze. Smooth slow sipper. Awesome Galaxy hop showcase, with a pretty clean fruity yeast character, and balancing rich malts. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Not sure if I got a full 4 pack, might have though. 4.2

You know the new album has really been a banger. I have nothing bad to say about it. This has the singer from Hatebreed on guest vocals. I recognized him, but forgot where it was from

Okay, some special beers just came my way this afternoon. I’ll start with Star Cloud, the NEIPA from Modern Times.

Great beer! Incredible this was canned in august hence only a few weeks old, considering its old Europe and the damn shipping. I’m really digging it. I rarely drink NEIPA because there are far and few here, but every now and then, this just hit the spot... Cheers!

Frangelic Mountain advocates, which is also new to me. Something new from Founders by the way, which I don’t purchase much anymore despite the awesomeness of FBS, KBS and CBS. Had them and they are great, just can’t spend as much every other week on them...

Another sketch/drawing, from last week. I’m happy to share them with you all, since you all are good people and I get mostly positive feedback (I never once pretended to be an artist so there’s that):

Metazoa Hoppopotamus: Dank and juicy Citra/Mosaic hops. Some clean Vienna malt character. Really crisp and pretty refreshing for an IPA. I loved it, gave it a 4.13 when I reviewed it in Indiana.

You know, I never actually read the lyrics for this before, but this is totally my life right now. Always loved all of Zeps albums however.

Nitro Merlin is nice and relaxing

So much marine haze and smoke haze that you can't see much past your nose, and my chest is tightening up from a pretty short and lazy walk

My initial review of it (I don't know if it was my first try at it) was in January 2017. I re-reviewed it a year later. My 2017 review chalked the beer as a decent coffee stout. My 2018 experience boosted the scores, especially in looks and taste.

Overall, I like the beer (but still find my rDev at -5.3%). Perhaps I need to check it out again...:stuck_out_tongue:

So it is essentially a pastry sour? Sounds interesting for sure. Finback did a beer called Blueberry Drip with blueberry, vanilla, and peanut butter and it was great so I see the potential with this one. Enjoy!
