Being lazy has its consequences. I should have went to one of the local breweries this week to restock. But I did not.

The only beer left in the house is 5 bottles of Budweiser and a can of Triple Crossing DIPA which I promised I would save for someone. My guess is I will go break that promise.

    Is this really beer?

I see it’s classified here as an American IPA but Bell’s put Juicy right in the name. Good beer but it had a piney flavor and bitter aftertaste that’s I just wasn’t expecting.

What do you think of it? Haven’t had a chance to try this iteration, but enjoyed Kroovy years back when they had it.

Drinking an Allagash Saison while I get dinner prepared. Really fruity smelling with a crisp dry taste, caramelized malty cereal grains, hay, peppery spice, fruity esters like apricot, plum, banana, pear, and earthy bitter floral hops. Making some baked wild caught King salmon with probably mashed sweet potato and some pan-seared brussel sprouts. Haven't made a meal like this all summer. Cheers all!

I'm at The European Street Cafe in Jacksonville Florida drinking a Tucher Brau Tucher Helles Hefewizen.
Poured from a tap into a Beer Mug.
Hefewizens are really not my thing, but this is pretty damn good with lots of phenols, banana, cloves and spices.

Excellent pale yellow body, bright and clear; lively carbonation; thick and rocky white head, fairly dense. Very aromatic nose; sweet grass and floral notes; a bit herbal. Delicate flavors; mild, subdued grain sweetness with an oh-so subtle cracker note; moderate hop bitterness. Light body; crisp and delicate on the palate; muted sweetness overall with the mouthfeel.

I love the balance and delicacy exhibited by this beer. It comes across as very clean and refreshing. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the brewing of this beer is readily available from the get go. A real beauty of a beer...

...I couldn't find a single video of the March 22nd, 1978 version of 'Leave Me Alone' (only on the double CD version, missing on the double LP issue), but here's the entire KSAN broadcast (disc 2 of the CD set). That version of 'Leave Me Alone' begins around the 11 minute mark and last for over 13 minutes. Killer grooves, excellent solos (especially the guitar at the end)...all of the music on this bootleg LP and CD are from the same tour as Lou's 'Take No Prisoners' album. Both editions contain some (the LP) or all (the CD) of the tunes from two show: Cleveland Music Hall (April 26, 1978) and the Old Waldorf San Francisco (March 22, 1978). I love 'Take No Prisoners', but these two shows skip on the Lenny Bruce monologues and focus on the music and the band. Good shows if you're a Lou Reed fan...

Been a while since I’ve posted in here and missed it to be quite honest. Only having one to 2 beers a week, mostly on the weekend.

Grabbed a 4 pack of this a couple weeks ago from Shy Bear Brewing Company located in Lewistown, PA. This is Coco Suave and it is a stout brewed with toasted coconut, coffee, oats, and milk sugar on nitrogen. Very good IMO.
