I have had two colonoscopies. I would rather have another gall bladder surgery instead. The prep for the colonoscopy really sucks.

I've had four beer from them (per BA records). Two were IPAs, one a smoked beer ('The Devil Made Me') and an imperial porter ('BLVCK Celebration: Imperial Porter - Regular (Ghost 114).

The three previous beers I rated an overall of 3.84+. The imperial hazy from today was my first 4+ rating from them.

The take away (I guess) is that they make some fine beers overall. And if I see more of their non-hazy / NEIPA varieties, chances are I'll check 'em out more often...

Just got done with the Squatober workout for today and now watching the local HS football team on YouTube.

Trying this beer again. Poured about a 2-3 oz sample in a mini snifter. Was not impressed the first time I had it and it’s a little bit better this time. Not sure I’d get more of this after the 12 pack though.

A perfect evening for a beer in Northern Indiana, time to finish off the 6er of this. It is hitting the spot (and the glassware, courtesy of @beertunes, is sublime).

New York’s next great brewery with a new dipa and it is delicious. Tastes of nectarines, apricot and orange juice. Very soft and creamy, nice subtle maltiness on the finish makes this a wow as far as I’m concerned. The picture almost seems dreamlike lol.

I attended a library program about the Edmund Fitzgerald on what I’d like to say was the 25th anniversary of the incident. A few men aboard were from this area and at the program I met a man whose father was lost in the storm. He said he appreciated the song and met Lightfoot at some point. I always raise a glass on November 10 in memorial.

Mike, have another IPA. Ok, don’t mind if I do. Brewed by Ardent. I am not a big fan of session beers but this one is pretty good. Glad it is the last of the four pack though. [IMG]

Another great NEIPA from Mast Landing. Always enjoying ML's IPAs, and this one is pretty much no exception. Exciting and fun combo of Citra, Simcoe, and Idaho 7, though it definitely feels more Simcoe than anything else.

    Review here!

Oh I've done one of those, as I got older they seem to want to send a camera up there, there is colon cancer in the family. PSA test I think it's called, I could do that, send it to my boss first. She likes to check my work before I send anything in.

Cool that you met someone close to a now more widely known event and got to chat about the people involved.

I made some pasta - a pseudo-carbonara based on memory from cooking shows; in other words, probably nothing like it.

The GF midway through prep said she wasn’t hungry enough for a regular portion. So now I’m over-carbed. Need something to cut through it

I've always enjoyed the floaties in APW. I've never had one with what I'd call a TON of floaties though.

Agree that ZD tastes different than it used to. I still buy it and enjoy it though.
