    Goddamn this beer is great this year. Using Grisette to express how I feel about it. Cheers.

    I did some digging and they are being brewed by Wichita Brewing Company. Tallgrass sold it to them.

    Mexican Cake Cabernet Barrel Aged (2016) with a lobster meat Cobb salad from today’s food truck - brilliant!:

    Red wine and grapey. The barrel notes somewhat subdue the spicy green chillies which play more of a supporting role. Nice!

    Happy Saturday! Off today, so I started off with some breakfast and a couple of Erdinger Oktoberfests. Now, after polishing off a half lb of bacon*, I'm on my second can of this:

    The Poet by New Holland Brewing Company, an interesting, relatively dry oatmeal stout. As someone who thinks brewers can go a little too hard on the lactose (blasphemy, I know), really refreshingly different.



    Love that voice; a great University of Michigan grad. Stay Safe, Go EA Poe, and Sláinte!
