3 Floyds Broo Doo Harvest Ale. Love fresh hop season and this one is my go-to. Consistently great every year. Wouldn’t expect anything less from a brewery that knows a thing or two about hops. Cheers!

    BEER BREAK
Half Acre Lagertown "Oktoberfest" (in sarcastic quotes); really more of a nice strong Lager from them.
Good malting, but strong on hops, not enough honey-note on it. Still like it a lot. 5.8%
    Canned 8.24.20

This pandemic sucks (for more reasons than this). Lagunitas literally just announced this Thursday 10/8, and I saw it get distributed 10/9. Bottom line is... the neck of this beer says: "Borned 10/5/20". In any other year, if it was borned 10/5, I and San Francisco would have had it 10/6. So everything is out of whack. (I bought it near Lagunitas Petaluma yesterday, ie 10/10).

This is pretty much the only Lagunitas beer I buy anymore. The 2020 version is interesting because of a new addition: Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Sabro. The hop bill on this beer does periodically change, so that's nothing new. But Sabro is a polarizing hop for many (I happen to enjoy it).

What do I think 6 days after borning date, since I'm drinking this now? This continues to deserve "buy" status for me. IMO, it's uniquely positioned in Lagunitas' portfolio to deliver the flavors I want in modern craft beer. It's still a WCIPA. But it contains a hop intensity that matches and surpasses most local craft. The fact I got a 6'er for ~$13 is just bonus. While a lot of Lagunitas beers get critiqued for being too malty, this one is hop-forward. This beer bursts of a melange of citrus notes. And the Sabro here is the most toned down of all the Sabro beers I've had. But even in its mildness, the Sabro does still deliver that coconut/tropical vibe that is different from BY of years past. As I said - I quite enjoy it, but if you're sensitive to Sabro... you may not. It'll be interesting to see what opinions are.

In the end, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this 6-pack. Maybe I'll even pick up another one after, who knows. But I'm glad they're still able to make this beer year after year. Even if it doesn't really taste like other "wet hop" beers, it's a fantastically made mass-distro'd beer you can't miss.
