    Ok, revisited the new KBS that I last had... yesterday, and my NBW review pretty much held up, though I got a little more sweetness a little earlier in the taste. Now a “simpler” beer before probably getting in another new stout.

    Was nice and peaceful, but the little county park got somewhat crowded quickly, with a ton of families getting their family photos taken.

    When a quake about the same size hit SWVA a few years ago, we were on the golf course - felt like I was “earth surfing” as the clubs rattled in their bags. Having never been in an earthquake, it’s odd how my golf cart mate and I both asked, “Was that an earthquake?”

    Hope nothing was worse for wear.

    Actually, it was a fairly restrained pour. My second pour was the one that overflowed. :grinning: Ahh, Brett beers ....


    Because they're the best, my friend! I've got the oven heating up right now. With perfect timing, wings will be ready just in time for kickoff. :slight_smile:

    You can Google some basic recipes. I make them all the time (although today I am cheating). From the sauce, to the wings themselves. Scratch Buffalo wings are superior to anything you're going to buy in a store, and superior to most good sports bars, once you get it down. Very much worth the time investment. :slight_smile:

    (I used to cook in a sports bar, and we made our Buffalo sauces from scratch, and I still prefer what I can create at home in my own kitchen. :slight_smile: )

    Hailstorm BBA Vlad w/ maple (2019). This line of barrel aged stouts can be hit or miss. This one is thankfully a hit. The maple presence is there, but not overpowering. The year of age probably has something to do with this, as I remember this being a maple bomb fresh. The base stout holds up well to the barrel, bringing notes of roast, light char, coffee, brown sugar, molasses, tobacco, light raisin, oak tannin, smooth bourbon, vanilla, and of course the aforementioned maple.

    Pernicious by the pool. Winds are about 15-20 mph, I guess we're supposed to get TS rain and winds this week from Eta. Got the 91LX back from paint today. I'll post a pic once all the lights are reinstalled. Have a great Sunday, 46 days til Christmas!
