    Was craving some lighter beers so stopped by Wegman's to pick up a pack of "tics". I can't believe I haven't reviewed any of these beers even though I've had all of them (but one) at one time or another. (Wassup with that? :thinking_face:) First up, this beautiful German Classic!

    Is it Friday yet?

    Prost! :grin::beers:!!

    AND THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VETERAN's AND THOSE WHO SERVE!

    A favorite of mine that I seek out every year. Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. Rich, roasty and chocolatey.

    The bad guy agrees.

    Left work about half an hour early. Mentally fine, physically crappy.

    Having my first Ten Fidy in a long time, aged over 4 years. Notes of marshmallow and dried fruit, hints of smoky coffee, chocolate, dark caramel, roast malt, and earthy woody notes. Interesting right now though not quite as good as fresh I think. Looking forward to drinking this beer again sometime in the future. Cheers everyone!

    Happy Veterans Day too to all of those who served! My father and father's father were in the Navy for some time, my dad was born on a military base in Indiana before my grandparents moved back to Maine. One of my uncles was in the Coast Guard as well based out of Maine.

    Beautiful dark amber, nearly brown, body; full and lively carbonation; fine, thick head, dense and semi-creamy. Notes of caramel and crystal malt on the nose; a bit sweet and nutty. Weak flavors of dried nuts; moderate hop bitterness and very light malt sweetness. Light body; flat and watery.

    This beer lacks malt oomph. It looks great, tastes and feels dull and watery.

    Captain Lawrence just showed up in Pittsburgh a week or two ago. First time trying their flagship IPA and it's very good. Old school west coast style, nothing too fancy. This might end up in the regular rotation.

    Enmeshment is a description of a relationship between two or more people in which personal boundaries are permeable and unclear. This often happens on an emotional level in which two people “feel” each other's emotions, or when one person becomes emotionally escalated and the other family member does as well.

    Called my father today as I do on every Veterans Day to wish him well. Like always he said thanks and that is all. He has never talked about his tours of duty and likely never will. That’s fine with me. I’m proud of him all the same. Here’s to all folks who served to protect our country. Cheers!

    I’ve been in Charlotte this week - my first “sales trip” since March!!! I’ve had a few good, local beers that were new to me, but this (Copper, an Altbier from Olde Mecklenburg Brewery), which I had earlier this evening, is BY FAR the best beer I’ve had on the trip, and one of the better beers I’ve had this year. World-class stuff, IMHO.

    Fiddlehead IPA. Nice interlude having the day off, I could get used to this on a weekly basis. Felt like Saturday all day though. Tackled round two of the leaf cleanup, probably have one more round to go. Mowed the lawn for the last time this year as well.
